Thor: Love and Thunder (July 8) has fans eagerly waiting to see the God of Thunder back on the big screen. Set to face off against Gorr the God Butcher and also interact with the Gods of Olympus, it's very likely that Thor will be stronger than ever in his upcoming film.

As Thor has been in the MCU for 11 years (and counting), fans have seen Thor perform many feats of his godly power. From defeating gods and Infinity Stone users to demonstrating his lightning abilities and insane strength, Thor has shown off his might many times, but which of these feats were his most powerful?

Beating The Destroyer

The destroyer stands still before an attack.

Truly living up to the name, The Destroyer was introduced in Thor as an indestructible and all-powerful being capable of incinerating anything in its path. However, once Thor reclaimed his power and Mjolnir, he was able to go toe-to-toe with the Destroyer and eventually defeat the enchanted android.

This was the first time in the MCU fans got to see Thor use his wide array of powers and abilities as he created a tornado, struck The Destroyer with lightning, and used the full might of Mjolnir, making this one of the best displays of Thor's power in the earlier years of the MCU.

Breaking Into S.H.I.E.L.D. Compound

Thor tries to life Mjolnir on Earth

Stripped of his hammer and powers for most of his MCU debut film, Thor attempted to regain Mjolnir by breaking into the S.H.I.E.L.D. compound surrounding the hammer. In order to do this Thor had to fight (and defeat) many S.H.I.E.L.D agents in hand-to-hand combat without the use of his powers.

While this feat may not show off Thor's godly power or Asgardian strength, breaking into a high-security S.H.I.E.L.D compound displayed Thor's resilience, toughness, and that he is a strong opponent even without enhanced abilities.

Single-Handedly Winning The Battle Of Vanaheim

Thor Dark World Korg

While Thor: The Dark World is regarded as one of the weakest MCU movies amongst fans, Thor's opening battle scene in Vanaheim stood out as one of the best moments in the film. His appearance on the battlefield immediately changed the tide of the battle, and the battle concluded after Thor defeated their champion in just one blow.

Here, the God of Thunder showed that he is a one-man army and that he should never be underestimated. As it's always impressive to see Thor effortlessly take down opponents, this feat showed that there was no man, army, or rock monster that could stand in Thor's way.

Defeating Malekith

As if facing the leader of the Dark Elves wasn't enough, Thor had to go up against an Aether-infused Malekith in order to save the Nine Realms in Thor: The Dark World. Withstanding many attacks from the Aether while also dishing out his fair share of blows as well, going up against the Reality Stone user alone showed that Thor could take on the toughest opponents in MCU.

While Thor would end up using spears from Erik Selvig to win the battle, the fact that Thor was able to hold his own against an Infinity Stone user is a powerful feat on its own.

One-Shot A Leviathan

Leviathans Avengers

During the climactic battle with the Chitauri in The Avengers, fans got to see each member of the superhero team shine in their own way, and one of the battle's best moments came when Thor took one of the monstrous Leviathans down in one blow.

These enormous beasts were shown as agents of world domination, and since all it took was one lightning swing from Thor to take down the Leviathan, it shines as one of his best moments in the film and a feat that showed off his tremendous power.

 Defeating Surtur

Thor captured by Surtur in Thor Ragnarok.

Thor: Ragnarok provided many hilarious moments and spectacle battles, but the fight between Thor and Surtur the giant Fire Demon combined both of these to make for one of Thor's best victories in the MCU. Despite the humorous banter between the two, Surtur proved to be a terrifying villain with a huge, flame-spouting sword.

While Surtur's power and size would make most heroes back down, Thor was able to defeat him with relative ease. As he was able to take down the giant demon who would eventually cause the end of Asgard, Thor's defeat of Surtur stands out as one of the God of Thunder's most powerful moments.

Fighting The Hulk

Thor and Hulk leap at one another in the Grandmasters gladiator arena.

In a fight that fans have wanted ever since Hulk punched Thor in The Avengers, the battle between the two strongest Avengers definitely lived up to the hype. Without his trusty hammer Mjolnir, Thor awakened his true potential as the God of Thunder to land two huge blows against Hulk and gain the upper hand in the fight.

He didn't get the chance to win the fight due to interference from the Grandmaster, but Thor's massive boost and display of strength showed that he was on a whole new level of power. Showing that he was more powerful than the Avenger known for his raw strength, his battle against the Hulk is one of Thor's most impressive feats in the MCU.

The Biggest Lightning Blast In The History Of Lightning

Thor calls down a massive lighting strike on Asgard's rainbow bridge.

Thor: Ragnarok saw Thor reach his true potential as the God of Thunder, and his first display of this was hitting Hela with what he called "The biggest lighting blast in the history of lightning." Seeing a weaponless Thor use only his newfound abilities to full use was one of the many reasons Thor: Ragnarok stands out as one of the best films in the MCU.

With such a huge display of power followed by Thor obliterating Hela's army with his newly discovered strength shortly after, this moment was one of Thor's most powerful feats as he truly became the God of Thunder and not the God of Hammers.

Withstanding The Force of a Star

Thor in Star Forge in Avengers Infinity War

At this point in the MCU, there wasn't that much left for Thor to prove, but he still managed to one-up his previous displays of power. In order to heat the ore to form his new weapon Stormbreaker, Thor had to endure the searing heat, energy, and force of a neutron star.

Something that most MCU characters couldn't even dream of doing, this feat was not only a huge testament to Thor's power but also to his insane durability. As he seemed fine just minutes after almost being vaporized, withstanding the force of a star is one of the many feats that show off the power of the God of Thunder.

 (Almost) One-Shotting Thanos

Avengers 3 Infinity War Thor Using Stormbreaker Against Thanos

After his dramatic and battle-turning arrival at the Battle of Wakanda, Thor used his newly crafted ax Stormbreaker to mortally wound Thanos. It would take the full power of the Infinity Gauntlet to slow Thor's ax throw down, but even that wasn't enough to stop it from impaling the Mad Titan's chest.

Although it's always been hard to gauge the true power of Thor, here the God of Thunder proved to be one of the strongest beings in the universe as not even the use of all six Infinity Stones could stop Thor. While many fans and MCU characters wish Thor would've aimed just a little higher than the chest, this without a doubt was the most powerful feat fans have ever seen from Thor.
