Spoilers for Avengers Assemble: Alpha #1 by Marvel Comics

In a battle between Thor and a version of Odin from the past, the two heroes' hammers collide in one of Mjolnir's most explosive fights. In Avengers Assemble: Alpha #1 by Marvel Comics, Odin is about to take out some of the Avengers with his mighty hammer. But, before he can do that, Thor intervenes, leading to a collision between the past and present versions of Mjolnir, resulting in a powerful blast that knocks out some of the greatest heroes from each timeline.

While Thor is the most recognizable wielder of Mjolnir in the Marvel Universe, before the hero wielded his powerful hammer, it was first used by Odin. Odin Borson initially struggled to use the hammer, as the God Tempest trapped within it made it difficult to control. However, after using Mjolnir in his battle alongside the Avengers of 1,000,000 BC, Odin stopped using the hammer before later giving the weapon to his son Thor after he showed he was worthy of it. Thor and Odin's hammers are now colliding as Mjolnir meets Mjolnir in an epic fight between the All-Father and his future son.

In Avengers Assemble: Alpha #1 by Jason Aaron, Bryan Hitch, Alex Sinclair, and VC's Cory Petit from Marvel Comics, the battle between the modern-day version of Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the Avengers of 1,000,000 BC unfolds as a misunderstanding puts the heroes at odds with each other. As Jane Foster starts to take Odin's hammer for herself, the younger version of the All-Father tries to draw it back to him. But, before Mjolnir returns to him, Thor launches his hammer at Odin's, resulting in an explosion so loud that it levels almost everyone on the battlefield.

Mjolnir vs. Mjolnir Is A Great Display Of The Hammer's Powers

Mjolnir vs Mjonlir Marvel Comics

The explosion after Thor's Mjolnir impacts Odin's Mjolnir is literally earth-shattering. With both versions of the hammer possessing the same incredible power, the resulting collision is one that neither Avengers team, past nor present, can tank, as it effectively ends the battle between them. Although, no Avenger squad has time to recover, as the fight is soon interrupted by the Multiversal Masters of Evil.

For readers wondering what would happen if Mjolnir collided with itself, the comic shows how explosive the impact truly is. If Thor and the past version of Odin ever wanted to combine their powers, they could do some serious damage by throwing their hammers against each other again, as the Mjolnir collision has some incredible firepower. Avengers Assemble: Alpha #1 by Marvel Comics is in comic book stores now.
