Daniel Bruhl reveals Chris Hemsworth's Thor is his favorite Avenger. Bruhl has reprised his role as Baron Zemo in The Falcon and the Winter SoldierThe actor first appeared as Zemo in the MCU during 2016's Captain America: Civil War. Zemo's goal in Civil War was to destroy the Avengers after his family was killed during the Battle of Sokovia, and he even killed King T'Chaka and framed Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) for the murder. Needless to say, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) was not thrilled when Bucky busted Zemo out of jail in episode 3 of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, "Power Broker."

A surprising aspect of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was the unexpected popularity of Zemo's character. Marvel even released the full uncut version of the a viral scene that featured Zemo awkwardly dancing in a club in Madripoor. Zemo of course is still very much a criminal who killed the King of Wakanda, and the Dora Milaje won't let Bucky and Sam forget that. However, Zemo has actually helped Sam and Bucky make enormous strides in their mission to take down the Flag-Smashers, and he did stick to his own code when he destroyed the stray vials of Super Soldier Serum. Zemo was last seen escaping from the Dora Milaje during episode 4, "The World is Watching."

Thankfully, Daniel Bruhl himself isn't afraid to show his appreciation for the Avengers. The actor shared a fun behind-the-scenes photo of himself on the set of Rush with Chris Hemsworth. Check out Bruhl's sweet dedication to his favorite Avenger, Thor.

Bruhl's throwback Thursday picture is a sweet tribute. It's also funny that Bruhl's favorite Avenger is Thor, because Thor and Zemo have never actually interacted on screen. After all, Thor was one of the major Avengers who was missing during the tumultuous events of Captain America: Civil War. Thor also isn't a player in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and will presumably be seen next in Thor: Love and Thunder. Although, with Marvel, it's challenging to anticipate when a major character might appear.

Zemo certainly has unfinished business in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It's challenging to tell what Zemo's main motivations are, but it's difficult to believe that he'll just surrender himself quietly back to jail now that he's been given a taste of freedom. Sam and Bucky lost track of Zemo after the fight with the Dora Milaje and it's tough to know to tell what Zemo might do next. Could Zemo actually become an antihero on par with Thor's brother Loki?

One thing's for certain. There's only two episodes left of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and a lot of loose ends to tie up. Zemo's fate and future in the MCU is definitely up in the air at this point. It's clear that he can't be trusted completely, but will he end up being more of a friend or foe to Sam and Bucky? Fans will just have to catch the last two episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier to find out.
