Warning! Spoilers ahead for Thor #11 from Donny Cates and Nic Klein.

In the latest issue of Marvel Comics' ThorJane Foster might be in danger of losing her life. While she used to be a simple doctor, Jane's love for Thor and his human alter ego Donald Blake changed the course of her entire life, leading to all sorts of new roles and powers, including a stint as The Mighty Thor, wielding Mjolnir when the Son of Odin could not. However, this could spell disaster for Jane Foster, as Donald Blake has become insane, corrupted, and evil, seeking to kill any and all Thors he can find.

In previous issues of Thor from Donny Cates, it's been revealed that Donald Blake now knows the truth about who he is: a creation of Odin to serve as a human persona for his son Thor when needed. This means that he was never a real human to begin with, as he had previously thought. However, Thor hasn't had a need for Blake for quite some time, which led Blake to view the paradise realm Odin made for him as a gilded prison. As the years went by, Blake grew insane, manic, and vengeful. When Thor finally determined that he needed a break and attempted to summon Donald, it was the perfect opportunity for Blake to break free and trap Thor with no way out. Now, Thor's darkened human persona is on a killing spree, seeking to take out every being who has ever wielded the power of Thor, absorbing their power from the Odin Force and adding them to his own.

Despite his dark crusade, it seems as though Blake still has feelings for Jane Foster, as the two of them had been in love in the early Thor comics. As such, Thor #11 begins with Donald and Jane having dinner and catching up, and Blake inquires if Jane knows about Odin's whereabouts, as he intends to kill the All-Father as well. However, Blake is thrown for a loop when Jane says she never really got along with Odin when she was Thor, as he had no idea about Jane's time as the Mighty Thor.

By his own vows for his evil mission, this means Jane should be on Blake's list if he truly wants to destroy all Thors. While he does imagine killing her right then and there, Donald instead leaves to go after other Thors, choosing to remember the love she once had for him. However, this might not mean that Jane is in the clear. After finding the body of Red Norvell in her own morgue (who was once a God of Thunder himself), Jane starts to put the pieces together, especially when she looks at herself in the mirror and sees that she's marked for death.

Because Jane is now a Valkyrie after the recent War of the Realms event, she can see when people are nearing the end of their lives. Now that she sees her own, it seems clear that Jane is aware that something is seriously wrong with Blake. While this hopefully means that she'll be able to rally the displaced Asgard and save Thor from Blake's old prison, it's very possible that readers could be seeing Jane's untimely end coming very soon as Thor continues from Donny Cates and Marvel Comics.
