There's no better way to showcase this phenomenon than with Jane and Valkyrie as the dynamic duo. The final trailer moment hints that Jane and Valkyrie may become great friends, so hopefully, there will be incredible chemistry between the two.
How Did Valkyrie Obtain Zeus's Lighting Bolt?
The trailer showcases moments of Gorr's potential as a villain, from destroying planets to his grotesque features. One moment shows Thor and Valkyrie taking on Gorr in a monochromatic, dark setting.
That intriguing scene shows Valkyrie dueling against Gorr while using Zeus's lightning bolt. This scene is shocking, considering that the trailer heavily showcases moments in Olympus, leaving the impression that things take a dark turn with the Olympians. How Valkyrie obtains his lightning bolt is unclear, whether it is a gift by Zeus or if the crew had stolen it as the key to stopping Gorr. Furthermore, this situation is surprising since Zeus is one of the most powerful Olympian Gods in the comics.
Where Are The Guardians?
The teaser trailer sets the fun, adventurous tone, where Thor journeys through his self-discovery with moral support from the Guardians of the Galaxy. Furthermore, the Guardians were confirmed to be major Love and Thunder characters. However, in the newest trailer, the Guardians are noticeably absent.
The official trailer does show a glimpse of the Guardians, but they are not involved in the ventures regarding Olympus. It is possible that Thor initially starts his new life as an ally to the Guardians before eventually splitting. Nevertheless, the whereabouts of the Guardians will be important building up to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and their absence seems suspicious.
Who Will Die?
Thor: Love and Thunder promises to be an exciting MCU movie, but that does not mean things won't take a bleak twist. The high stakes with Gorr hunting down gods makes it feel like character deaths are inevitable, including the more principal ones.
Characters like Thor, Jane, and Valkyrie are risking their lives to protect the Nine Realms and other gods. Of course, many Marvel fans speculate who may meet their demise, from the Olympians to Korg. Furthermore, if the film delves into Jane's cancer storyline, she is also not safe from imminent death.
