A new Thor: Love and Thunder trailer shows Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy teaming up for a funny fight. Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi are back together after Thor: Ragnarok brought a comedic reinvention of the God of Thunder. With the movie picking up after the events of Avengers: Endgame, there was a lingering question for some time about whether or not the Guardians of the Galaxy would be in Thor: Love and Thunder. The end of Avengers: Endgame saw Thor leave Earth with the Guardians, teasing more adventures of this fan-favorite collection of Marvel Cinematic Universe characters.

Once filming on Thor: Love and Thunder began, it was confirmed that the entire Guardians of the Galaxy team was part of the movie. They have been a staple of the movie's marketing campaign to this point too. While Thor: Love and Thunder is expected to predominantly follow Thor, Jane Foster's Mighty Thor, and Valkyrie as they fight Gorr the God Butcher, the Guardians of the Galaxy will also play an important role. The group has been seen fighting alongside Thor in various moments, with Star-Lord even offering the god of thunder some advice in past Thor 4 trailers.

Thanks to a new Thor: Love and Thunder trailer released by Marvel, more footage of a funny Guardians of the Galaxy fight scene in the movie has been shown. The 30-second spot shows more of Thor and the Guardians fighting together, but it isn't exactly what the Guardians expected. Drax exclaims that they are going to die, while Rocket mentions this is nothing like the "relaxing holiday" Thor promised it would be. The Thor: Love and Thunder trailer also confirms tickets go on sale Monday, June 13.

The new footage provides an even greater look at how Thor: Love and Thunder will continue the excellent dynamic Thor has with the Guardians of the Galaxy. After meeting the team in Avengers: Infinity War, the bromance/rivalry with Star-Lord immediately proved to be a lot of fun. The film also began a great friendship between Thor and Rocket, which became a pillar of Avengers: Endgame's story. Now they are shown fighting side-by-side once again, but it seems the God of Thunder undersold the challenges that they'd face.

Regardless of how big of a role the Guardians of the Galaxy play in Thor: Love and Thunder, this could be the last time they interact in the MCU. There is no guarantee that Chris Hemsworth's Thor survives a fight with Gorr. Meanwhile, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director James Gunn has repeatedly teased the movie as the end of the current iteration of the team. Unless Thor makes a surprise appearance in the Guardians' next movie, Thor: Love and Thunder could possibly be the last time they fight together.
