A new Thor: Love and Thunder action figure reveal is teasing some big changes for the Guardians of the Galaxy. Having left New Asgard on Earth to join the Guardians in space after the events of Avengers: Endgame, it seems as though he will still be connected with Star-Lord and company in the upcoming sequel for the God of Thunder. However, the Guardians might have expanded with a new status quo after fighting the forces of Thanos alongside Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

At the end of Avengers: Endgame, Thor chose to leave the Asgardians on Earth, making Valkyrie New Asgard's ruler in his stead. Deciding that it was time for him to be who he really is rather than who he's supposed to be, Thor joined the Guardians of the Galaxy (much to the chagrin of Peter Quill's Star-Lord). As such, it was presumed that Thor would still be a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, though he may have instigated a rather significant change for their roster and operations amongst the stars.

Based on a series of new Marvel Legends action figures for Thor: Love and Thunder, one of Thor's new figures identifies him as "Ravager Thor" wearing a red vest, shirt, and what almost looks like jeans. This seemingly teases that Thor has either left the Guardians to join the Ravagers or that the Guardians and Ravagers have joined forces. Either way, it does look as though Love and Thunder will be introducing some significant roster shake-ups for both galactic teams when the new film releases on July 8th.

Among the other reveals was a new look for Star-Lord and Teenage Groot, teasing that at least two Guardians will indeed be featured in the upcoming Thor sequel. As such, it does imply that Thor will still have connections with the Guardians even if it's revealed that he left them to join the Ravagers. Furthermore, the possibility exists that Thor may even be leading the Ravagers following the death of Yondu Udonta in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2This would make sense after the hilarious tensions between Star-Lord and Thor about who the Guardians' true captain was.

At any rate, it seems likely that Thor's new Ravager look will be featured early on in the God of Thunder's space-faring journey to figure himself out before donning the new Asgardian armor that's been teased as well for Thor: Love and Thunder. It also suggests that audiences will be given new insights about the Guardians ahead of The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special at the end of 2022 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2023. While Thor might have left their ranks to join and/or lead the Ravagers, it would certainly be exciting if the Guardians of the Galaxy and Ravagers were now one unified force in the MCU as well.
