Will Gorr’s Daughter Return? The Next MCU Movie Love Can Appear In

Thor: Love and Thunder introduced Gorr the God Butcher's daughter Love, but her next Marvel Cinematic Universe movie appearance is unconfirmed. For as much as Thor: Love and Thunder revolved around Thor and Gorr's battle and the return of Jane Foster, the movie also included major roles for a younger generation of characters and possible heroes. This included Gorr's daughter, who died in the movie's opening but was reborn in Thor: Love and Thunder's ending. Love's rebirth was made possible by Gorr using Eternity's powers to save his daughter instead of wiping out all of Marvel's gods.

Since Gorr died in Thor: Love and Thunder, Love's MCU future took a surprising direction. The movie's final scene revealed that Thor was now raising Love as his own daughter and teaching her about her powers and how to use them for good. One of the ways Thor helps train and empower Love is by giving her Stormbreaker to use as a weapon, as Odinson reclaimed Mjolnir as his own. Thor: Love and Thunder ends by showing Love and Thor going into battle together, teasing the new adventures that they will embark on. While the film's credits confirm Thor will return, there is no confirmation that Love's MCU story will continue.

It does seem that Gorr's daughter will return to the MCU for another appearance. Love's introduction and future have now become directly tied to Thor, meaning it will be quite strange if he returns and she does not. Marvel has yet to announce Thor 5 for Chris Hemsworth, but such a movie might also not fit into the Multiverse Saga plans. As a result, Gorr's daughter's next MCU movie could be directly tied to wherever Thor returns. Even without an official announcement, the most likely outcome is that Love's next MCU movie will be Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

Why Love Could Appear In Avengers: The Kang Dynasty

Love should return to fight with Thor in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty next. The fifth Avengers movie is not coming until 2025, but that is likely to be where the god of thunder appears for the first time since Thor: Love and Thunder. It is already known that Thor is not in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and there are not any other confirmed movies that make sense for him and Love to return in. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty should be where the biggest Marvel heroes unite once more to begin taking on Kang and incursions. As one of the few original Avengers who is still an active hero, Thor should still be on the new Avengers 5 team.

Barring a surprising turn of events for Thor and Love's relationship, she should appear wherever he goes moving forward. It is possible that Thor could look to keep Gorr's daughter safe, but that would feel like a cheap move by Marvel after Thor: Love and Thunder. Love is set up to be a major character, so her return in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty could include linking up with the MCU's Young Avengers after a few years of training. If Gorr's daughter is not seen here, then Loki season 2, Avengers: Secret Wars, and eventually Thor 5 are some other possibilities for her next MCU appearance.
