Warning! Spoilers for Hulk #7 by Marvel Comics

Marvel Comics shows what would happen if Thor was involved in the Gamma bomb experiment that turned Bruce Banner into the Hulk, as the potentially strongest Avenger and combination hero who just debuted. In Hulk #7 by Marvel Comics, Thor attempts to stop Hulk as his Gamma loses control, resulting in an explosion that merges the two heroes into one Hulk/Thor combination monster.

Thor has taken to space to track down the Hulk, as the Avengers are trying to track down the augmented Starship Hulk and bring him to justice for an attack where Bruce Banner lost control, leaving many dead in El Paso. Thor and Hulk are duking it out on the Black Hand of God, where Iron Man has joined the fight in his Celestial Hulkbuster armor, as the hero intends on taking down the Jade Giant by any means necessary. However, as Thor and Tony Stark both found out, defeating the enhanced version of the Hulk is a monumental task, even when well-equipped to do so.

In Hulk #7 by Donny Cates, Martin Coccolo, Matt Wilson, and VC's Joe Sabino, Iron Man tries to stop the Hulk but is knocked down by Thor's Odin-enhanced Mjolnir. After apologizing for Mjolnir going rogue, Thor and Iron Man continue their attack on the Hulk, as even the "Celestial judgment of a hundred thousand exploding stars" isn't enough to take the monster down. However, after Mjolnir pins Hulk, the Jade Giant's Gamma powers rise to deadly levels, as the hero explodes as Thor reaches for his hammer. When the dust settles, a combination hero of Hulk and Thor, potentially the strongest Avenger ever, rises.

Iron Man asks what would happen if a God, not a human, underwent Bruce Banner's Gamma origin? He gets an immediate answer from the combination hero. The Hulk/Thor monster keeps Hulk's large, green frame but wears the God of Thunder's armor, cape, and even has his blonde hair. Energy pulses around the combination hero, as his powers seem to be derived from Gamma and Mjolnir. While the comic ends after his appearance, Hulk becoming a God teases what might be the strongest Avenger ever, as if it has the hero's combined powers, it could be unmatched in terms of pure strength.

While Thor has gained the powers of the Hulk before, seeing him become a combination hero with his fellow Avengers is new territory. With their combined powers and strength, the god-powered Hulk has the potential to be the strongest Avenger ever. Considering how much trouble the superteam had stopping Starship Hulk, to begin with, taking down Thor and the Hulk as one might be impossible. Hulk #7 by Marvel Comics is in stores now.
