The God of Thunder channels the Fantastic Four's powers in a new Thor poster edit. The Fantastic Four are a popular team in the Marvel comics, made up of Mister Fantastic, The Thing, Invisible Woman, and Human Torch. Their portrayal on film, however, has been less successful than their comics' run. Four different Fantastic Four live-action movies have been released, with 2015's The Fantastic Four the most recent. Most of the films have received negative reviews, though there's still a chance for a successful film. Many fans are hoping Marvel Studios' recent acquisition of Fox, and with it the rights to the Fantastic Four, will lead to a new movie sooner rather than later.

Though the Avengers haven't met any Fantastic Four members onscreen, the possibility is certainly there now that Marvel owns the characters. Two MCU actors already have ties to the Fantastic Four, specifically Johnny Storm/Human Torch. Black Panther standout Michael B. Jordan played the role in the 2015 film. And, before suiting up as Captain America, Chris Evans played Human Torch in both 2005's Fantastic Four and its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. This means both actors were well acquainted with Marvel before taking on their roles in the MCU.

Respected fan artist BossLogic created the edit of Thor using the Fantastic Four's powers, dubbing him "The Fantastic Thor." The original poster is one of several released for the most recent Thor film, Thor: Ragnarok. In the new image, Thor can be seen possessing all four characters' powers at once. Check out the edited poster below:

Though there's always a chance he may pop up beforehand, 2022's Thor: Love and Thunder is Chris Hemsworth's next scheduled MCU appearance. Despite being a couple years out, it's one of the most highly-anticipated Marvel movies right now. This is partly due to the success of Thor: Ragnarok, which saw director Taika Waititi revive the franchise after a lackluster sequel. He'll return again for Thor: Love and Thunder, as will Natalie Portman's Jane Foster. At San Diego Comic-Con 2019, fans were excited to learn that Portman would not only be back as Jane, but also take up the mantle as Mighty Thor. Now that Thor has given up his throne and effectively joined the Guardians of the Galaxy, some are also wondering if those characters may appear in Thor: Love and Thunder.

BossLogic's poster edit is an interesting look at what could happen if Thor was given the Fantastic Four's powers. Considering his existing strength and skill, these additional powers would make Thor an even more impressive force. Add in Mjolnir and Thor would become virtually unstoppable. Though it will likely be a long time until the Avengers meet the Fantastic Four in the MCU, this poster should make fans excited about a potential team up between the characters.
