When Marvel's Thor is corrupted by his half-brother Loki the God of Mischief in the comic Journey Into Mystery #94, he terrorizes Earth more than any other Marvel villain.

Thor the God of Thunder is known for being a loving and compassionate Asgardian god, but he's still a force to be reckoned with. In the Marvel Comics, Thor is so strong he doesn't even need to swing his hammer and he's even willing to take on his own family members if he has to. But nothing is as threatening as when the God of Thunder isn't in his right state of mind; it's enough to make powerful villains like Thanos, Apocalypse, and Hyperion shake in their boots. Which is exactly what Loki ensures in writers Stan Lee and Robert Bernstein as well as penciler Joe Sinott's comic Journey Into Mystery #94, as Loki disorients Thor and the two take on the human race!

In the comic, when Loki adjusts the course of an armed nuclear warhead that is skyrocketing into space, the U.S. government calls Thor in the hopes that he can save the day. But when Thor arrives at the missile and throws his hammer at it, he doesn't realize that he's fulfilling Loki's plan as the God of Mischief use his powers to watch Thor in action while being chained up on Asgard. When Thor's hammer explodes the warhead, it bounces back and hits him in the head, disorienting him as well as causing him to become delusional. In addition to being disoriented, he sees a glimpse of Loki in chains, has a change of heart, and considers going to Asgard to save his brother-even though he's the one who put him in chains. When Thor goes to Asgard and frees Loki from his bonds, Thor and Loki's father Odin attempts to reason with the God of Thunder, but Thor remains loyal to his brother. Then, Loki tries to bargain with Odin by suggesting the two of them reign over Asgard. Of course, Odin denies Loki's request, which prompts Loki to say he and Thor are going to wreak havoc on Earth if their father doesn't reconsider the request. Once again, Odin denies it and the two brothers fly to Earth on Thor's hammer and begin terrorizing it.

Thor wreaking havoc

Soon after arriving on Earth, Thor thunder strikes man's proudest achievements, creates massive earthquakes, and shreds national monuments to ribbons while Loki uses gigantic allusions of monsters to instill fear into the human race. Though, the terrorizing comes to halt when members of the U.N. try to reason with the Asgardian gods and desire to speak with Odin. But nothing is as it seems because when Thor and Loki arrive in a U.N. building, a secret hatch opens up and Thor falls in, causing his hammer to fall and land on his head. After Thor's delusion comes to an end as a result of his hammer smacking him in the head, the U.N. members reveal themselves to be Odin as well as other leaders of Asgard and Thor is given the chance to defeat his brother once more.

Thankfully, not all of Thor's brothers are as mischievous as Loki or else the possibility of him wreaking havoc on Earth again might be conceivable. But the fact that Thor captures Loki once again, only proves that the two are destined to fight each other forever. Or, at least until one of them kills each other.
