One of these stories describes the birth of his firstborn son, who turns out to only be half-Asgardian. The other half? The product of his love affair with a frost giant of Jotunheim. To say Thor is in the right state of mind during his courtship would be less than accurate, since the story reveals Thor will one day lose his mind and become stranded deep in the frozen jungles of Jotunheim. After an attack by psychic frost giant assassins, Thor will regress into a more un-evolved version of himself. Thor lost and amnesiac would be taken in by the wild beasts of the winter lands. This would begin the legend of Thor, Lord of the Ice Apes. But Thor didn't just lose his mind, he also lost his godlike appearance. He looks more like a caveman. His cape is traded in for a loincloth. His lost eye now a snowball and his missing arm once made of Uru is now made of ice --  adding more confusion around the fact that Thor will get his arm back. This new step down on the evolutionary tree has sparked interest in one frost giant in particular.

Thor Loves Ice giant

While the soldiers of the Jotunn King never stopped searching for the ape-like Thor, the strangest story to happen to him was unfolding. The secret story is a torrid affair between Thor the ape-god and the fiercest She-Blizzard of Jotunheim. This story would produce the first son of Thor: the giant of thunder. This hybrid of an Asgardian god and a frost giant will one day become the King, sitting on the throne in Asgard. Loki, Thor's frost giant adopted brother will likely be proud to one day see a frost giant on the throne of Asgard -- or he will try and kill Thor's son because, well, he is Loki.

The final issue of Aaron's run on King Thor may be done, but he has laid the groundwork for the character for years to come. He's solidified Thor's place in the Marvel universe and made sure there will always be more stories to tell.
