Beta Ray Bill is worthy in a brand new cosplay Marvel Comics from @misterabsfitness, aka Levi James, that has to be seen to be believed. The hero, who had long been one of Thor's closest allies, isn't the easiest character to cosplay, as the Korbinite's worthy form is unorthodox, to say the least. However, James debuted a Beta Ray Bill costume that stole the show at last week's New York Comic Con.

Beta Ray Bill was created by Walter Simonson and first debuted in Thor #337, where he became worthy of Thor's hammer. After defeating Thor in a battle (that was supposed to be to the death), the God of Thunder decided he was worthy and had the hammer Stormbreaker created for him. Beta Ray Bill's original form is very alien, but the Korbinites cybernetically enhanced him to become their greatest warrior, so he could take on those who threatened his own beings' race. His appearance was drastically changed, making him look somewhat like a horse but with a chiseled human body. Beta Ray Bill has been an integral part of Thor and other Marvel Comics stories, including starring in a recent solo series by Daniel Warren Johnson, Mike Spicer, and Joe Sabino.

Cosplayer @misterabsfitness (with an assist from @maskeddadworkshop) shared his take on Beta Ray Bill that he wore at New York Comic Con, and the results are absolutely fabulous. The cosplay goes all out in portraying Beta Ray Bill from Walter Simonson's iconic run on Thor. In the look, he wears Beta Ray Bill's iconic armor with Jack Kirby-inspired details and white gloves. Perhaps most impressively, the cosplay is built as bulky as the hero, including huge, muscle-filled arms. The showstopper is the mask, which brings a comic accurate Beta Ray Bill to life, including his white pupils, long mouth and sharp teeth, and his winged helmet.

@misterabfitness also got the chance to meet Daniel Warren Johnson, who penned the first Beta Ray Bill solo series last year for Marvel Comics. The picture shows the pair strike a pose for the camera.

The creativity and execution of the Beta Ray Bill cosplay are off the charts. It's a direct adaptation of Simonson's iconic hero that doesn't skimp on the details. In a crowded con, the suit had to be incredibly warm on the inside. But, that's the price of wearing such an incredible cosplay. @misterabfitness really nailed the look for the popular Thor hero. Beta Ray Bill has never looked better in real life.
