Warning! Spoilers for AVENGERS: 1,000,000 B.C. #1 by Marvel Comics

The first-ever Avengers team of 1,000,000 B.C. are reuniting as Thor's Phoenix Force origin will bring the ancient heroes back together in a brand new one-shot. On Friday, Marvel Comics revealed a new comic titled Avengers: 1,000,000 B.C. #1, which will see the team assemble again surrounding the events of Thor's birth, which will play a massive role in upcoming Avengers stories.

Marvel Comics has been slowly revealing Thor's connection to the Phoenix Force in Jason Aaron's run on the Avengers. The arc has already revealed Thor is not the biological son of Gaea but instead is the child of the first wielder of the Phoenix Force and Odin. The origin has mainly remained mysterious, but despite conflicting continuity issues, it seems like Marvel is planning to go full steam ahead with the God of Thunder's new history, as a new one-shot will dive deeper into his connection with the Avengers of 1,000,000 B.C.
