Director Taika Waititi shares new concept art from Thor: Love and Thunder, revealing among other things, two new bodies for the alien, Miek. First introduced in Thor: Ragnarok, Miek is the good friend of another alien, Korg, and Thor meets the pair of them while on Sakaar. The two show up again in Avengers: Endgame, seen living with Thor in New Asgard, and both are set to return in Love and Thunder.

In Ragnarok, Miek is described by Korg as "an insect" with "knives for hands," and that's mostly accurate. Miek is an insectoid alien who is typically seen wearing a vaguely humanoid exoskeleton. Without one, Miek more or less resembles an insect larva with multiple short limbs. Miek loses his exoskeleton in Ragnarok and is shown without one until the final battle in Endgame. Both instances feature a design for Miek's exoskeleton that is rather rudimentary, though it is armed with knife hands - great for stabbing and slashing, not so great for any other hand-related activities. Come Thor: Love and Thunder, however, it appears Miek receives a new exo-skeleton and costume, and both have a surprising feminine flair.

Waititi recently took part in an Instagram live broadcast where he watched Ragnarok along with fans (but was mostly distracted by his children and Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo). During the live stream, he shared a few pieces of Thor: Love and Thunder concept art. A couple of the pieces depict Miek in two new exoskeletons; one a battle suit, while the other is more like business attire. Take a look:

In both concept art illustrations, Miek appears to be suited in the exoskeleton seen in the first image. The design is your basic robot body, but with some Asgardian touches in the design; most notably, the look of the metal bands along the arms and legs. The feet also appear to be reminiscent of women's high heels, and when combined with the obviously feminine appearance of the business suit, it may be that this concept art is revealing something else new about Miek.

In both Ragnarok and Endgame, Miek is referred to as male. But Miek is also an alien, and as such, wouldn't necessarily have a binary sex or gender. There's also a comment form Korg in Ragnarok about Miek laying eggs, which could imply Miek actually is female or that all members of the species can reproduce. Either way, the design of both the new exoskeleton and business suit appear to give Miek a more feminine characteristics, and that may imply a new identification for the character in Thor: Love And Thunder.
