Chris Hemsworth has praised the script for Thor: Love and Thunder written by director Taika Waititi. Thor is one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's original stars and is soon to be the last one standingAvengers: Endgame marked the end of Iron Man and Captain America's stories, Black Widow's is expected to end with her solo film, and Hulk and Hawkeye will be replaced during Phase 4. But, Hemsworth is scheduled to lead a fourth solo film in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Marvel Studios confirmed plans to continue the Thor franchise at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. Tessa Thompson will return as Valkyrie, but the big surprise was Natalie Portman's return as Jane Foster, who will become Mighty Thor. Waititi has so far not revealed too many story details beyond this, other than teasing that it will be bigger, crazier, and romantic. The next chapter in this story isn't being crafted by Waititi alone, though, as Jennifer Kaytin Robinson was brought on to help finish the script. And Hemsworth sounds like he's quite fond of what they've come up with.

In a new interview with Polish magazine Elle Man, Hemsworth expressed how excited he is for Thor: Love and Thunder as a result of reading the script. He, unfortunately, but unsurprisingly, didn't reveal any new plot details about the upcoming blockbuster. But, Hemsworth did say that reading Waititi and Robinson's Thor 4 script was more fun to read than Thor: Ragnarok. Read his full response below (which has been translated from Polish).

After reading the script, I can say that I am very excited. For sure there will be a lot of love and a lot of lightning in this production (laughs). I'm glad that after all that happened in Avengers: Endgame, I'm still part of the Marvel Universe and we can continue the story of Thor. Of course, I can't tell you anything about the plot, but to satisfy your curiosity, I'll say that I had a lot more fun reading the script than on "Thor Ragnarok," and that proves something, because this movie was brilliant.

Hemsworth having more fun already with Thor: Love and Thunder's script than he did with Thor: Ragnarok is quite telling. It marks the latest in an ongoing line of praise for Waititi's take on the character and franchise, all while teasing that Thor 4 could be even better than its predecessor. Given the reaction to Ragnarok, the thought of Thor 4 topping what came before will be tougher to imagine for some.

It's hardly a secret by now how much Hemsworth loves working with Waititi, and this is likely why he doesn't plan to stop playing Thor anytime soon. It was in this same interview that Hemsworth confirmed he'll play Thor again after Thor: Love and Thunder. As lone as the movie proves to be another success, it is very possible that Waititi and Hemsworth could reteam for Thor 5 and close out a trilogy of their own. After all, Thor has never been better than he has been over the last few films, so Thor: Love and Thunder might not be the last time Hemsworth reads a Waititi MCU script.
