Can you believe that it has almost been seven years since the pilot episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine? It seems like it was only yesterday that Holt walked through the doors of the nine-nine and made his mark on the squad (especially Amy).  Time surely does fly when you're having fun...

However, since it's been so long, there may be some gags and storylines you might not remember? Want some examples? Keep reading to discover 10 things that happened in season 1 even the ultimate detective/genius would have forgotten.

Charles Was Shot In The Butt

Considering it was a big part of the show at the time, Boyle getting shot in the butt appears to have been forgotten by fans and the squad too. For those who can't remember it, Boyle was shot in the butt by "The Freestyle Killer" after he jumped in the way of the bullet to saved Rosa's life ("Christmas").

However, some of Charles' best scenes came out after this. For instance, in "The Bet," fans were introduced to no-filtered Boyle, who inadvertently dropped truth-bombs on his colleagues. While the episode was full of comedy gold, the funniest interaction had to be Boyle pretending to get a text so he could avoid talking to Holt.

Amy's Apparent Hand Fetish

As mentioned before, Savant ended up emailing the search history of the precinct to everyone inside. While Boyle's homemade desk yogurt and Jake's cheap date search didn't surprise anyone, fans have to admit that no one expected Amy to have an apparent hand fetish.

In "Sal's Pizza," it was revealed that Amy had searched for a close-up of Daniel Craig's hands. Considering how Amy is a stickler for the rules, she has no qualms in breaking them for this. What is also surprising is that no one has teased her about this since.

The Firefighter/Cop Football Game

One of the best elements of the show has to be the iconic cold openings. Ask any fan who watches the show and they will agree that these are just as integral to the episodes as the plots are. However, because some are so iconic, like Jake's rendition of "I Want It That Way," a lot of them haven't got the attention they deserve.

An example of this being the football game between the New York Firefighters and the Police Department in "Operation: Broken Feather." Here, fans got to see the rivalry between the service departments grow, with the NYPD claiming an easy victory. It looked like this was an annual set-up but it hasn't been seen or referenced to since.

Amy Wanted To Work With The Vulture

The Vulture in Brooklyn Nine Nine

One of the most surprising storylines on the show had to be when Amy considered transferring over to Major Crimes. Considering how much the squad hates The Vulture, Jake was taken aback by the news that Amy had a job interview for his unit.

This was another monumental episode for Peraltiago since Jake then spends the majority of the day trying to convince Amy why she loved working the beat with him and the squad. Luckily, Amy managed to come to her senses and decided to stay with the nine-nine.

Charles' Crush On Rosa

Considering how Charles is now happily in a relationship with Genevieve and raising Nikolaj with her, it seems like it has been a long while since the days he had a huge crush on her. Fans may recall Boyle's infatuation with the detective in season 1 but can you remember how intense it actually was.

In the "Pilot" episode, Boyle buys all the theatres tickets when he invites Rosa to a film festival with him. In "M.E. Time," he inappropriately tells the squad that Rosa and Jake are his fantasy threesome. Let's not forget how "Thanksgiving" also saw him admit Rosa made his life worth living. He went full-on Boyle without us realizing.

Rosa's Voice Isn't As Deep

Stephanie Beatriz in Brooklyn Nine-Nine

One of the more notable changes to Rosa's character has to be the change of pitch in her voice. Over the years, fans may have noticed that Rosa's voice is completely different from Beatriz's. Currently, it appears a lot lower and more monotone, which adds to Rosa's tough exterior.

However, if you decide to give season 1 a rewatch, you may notice Beatriz had yet to add this idiosyncrasy and spoke in a lighter tone. Beatriz and the writers probably decided to try out the experiment and see if they could flesh Rosa's out some more.

Adam Sandler's Cameo

Brooklyn Nine-Nine has seen a lot of celebrities make a cameo appearance. Although their appearances were brief, the likes of Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, and Sterling K. Brown managed to make their mark because of their distinctive characters. However, because the number of guest stars is so large, it may be hard to keep track of it all.

In "Operation: Broken Feather," Adam Sandler was one of the first celebrities to make a cameo. He can be found at the auction Jake and Amy were scouting, sitting among the guests and heckling Jake when he takes over as auctioneer. Sandler also starts his own bidding war, asking the bidders if they would pay to see him stick a sock in Jake's mouth.

Jake's Weird Fling With The M.E.

From what the fans can gather, Jake has only had two serious relationships in his life. Sophia (who was his girlfriend in season 2) and Amy. Fans have also seen Jake go on a string of dates. However, one of the weirdest romances Jake has ever been a part of has to be his affiliation with the medical examiner ("M.E. Time").

There's probably a reason why no one brings this past romance up because it was really creepy. Dr. Rossi was shown to have some weird corpse fetishes, which suggests she may also be a necrophiliac. The good thing is she wasn't seen again after this episode so hopefully, this meant she was fired.

What Happened To Savant?

In "Sal's Pizza," the precinct ran into an issue when someone hacked into their system and began to leak the search history from their computers. Although Corey Park (a.k.a. Savant) was the culprit responsible for implementing the virus, Holt ended up giving him a job as the precinct's new I.T. Director.

Savant did make one more appearance in season 2, but after this, he hasn't been seen since. Since Terry hired three separate hackers to help decode Hawkins' files ("Crime & Punishment"), we can assume he doesn't work there anymore. So what exactly happened to him? Did he get fired? Arrested? Or did he simply leave?

What Happened To Detective Daniels?

We are all familiar with the iconic partnership that is Hitchcock and Scully. The show wouldn't be the same without them. However, did you realize that they were partnered with another detective too? In the "Pilot" episode, fans will be able to see that Daniels was an integral part of the squad, sitting in the back of the briefing room.

While her name appears on the board, fans officially meet Daniels during Terry's introductions. Here, Terry calls her "worthless" but says she can make a good coffee. Since Hitchcock was seen sitting opposite Boyle, we can believe that Daniels must have been originally seated at his desk. Yet, after this episode, she doesn't make another appearance.
