Kevin Bacon stars in the new trailer for the new horror film They/Them. They/Them is written and directed by John Logan, and while this is his first directing credit, he has written numerous significant films, including Gladiator and Skyfall. The film is also produced by the noted horror movie Blumhouse, with Jason Blum serving as a producer. Bacon leads a cast that includes Anna Chlumsky, Theo Germaine, Quei Tann, Anna Lore, Monique Kim, Darwin del Fabro, and Austin Crute.

The trailer for They/Them was shared on Peacock's YouTube, highlighting the film's plot. The trailer sees a group of LGBTQ+ teens being brought to a conversion camp called Whistler Camp. They are then introduced to Bacon's Owen Whistler, who runs the camp. As the teens are subjected to heinous therapies, attacking who they are as people, a mysterious killer begins to pick them off one by one, putting them all in a fight for their lives. They/Them is said to be an empowering slasher film. While the initial setup of teens at a camp harkens back to films like Friday the 13th, which also happens to star Bacon, the themes on display look vastly different and inspired by modern times. One of the more unique aspects highlighted in the trailer sees the teens being psychologically broken down, which offers a distinct horror outside of what could be another slasher film. They/Them is a Peacock exclusive that will debut on the streaming service on August 5 for fans of the slasher genre.
