A killer is on the loose in Baltimore and the characters of The Wire are the targets. Horror films are full of suspense with little drama but merging these two genres should make for interesting TV. Fans of The Wire could make the claim that any of their favorite characters could make it out alive. But is that true?

Is Avon Barksdale strategic enough to escape? Is Omar deadly enough to face a foe he has never dealt with before? Will the pairing of Snoop and Chris be enough to run the killer off the streets of Baltimore? A masked killer running loose with a cast known to do shady things would be worth the price of admission.

Bodie

Bodie in The Wire

Forever the loyal soldier, Bodie will make it as far as he can just on streets smarts alone. Bodie has taken orders from Stringer, Avon, and Marlo and managed to survive until a costly error in judgment. A killer running through the streets of Baltimore is not enough to knock Bodie off his game.

For the killer to catch Bodie, all he has to do is wait. All Bodie knows is the block and for that, just like his actions in his end, protecting his corner will lead to his demise. Bodie is too predictable to make it any further.

McNulty

Dominic West As McNulty in The Wire, Standing Outside

The reason McNulty makes the list and not some of the other cops is that McNulty thought like a criminal most of the time and not as a cop. While not viewed as one of the brightest, McNulty was often underappreciated. He did break or bend the rules to his liking but his main goal was to do whatever it took to get the job done.

McNulty chases killers so, instead of most characters seeking refuge elsewhere, McNulty would be on the hunt. This is what makes horror movies so predictable. There's no need for the killer to chase McNulty, he'll come right to him.

Stringer

The Wire Idris Elba As Stringer Bell Wearing Glasses Button Shirt

Together, nothing could topple Stringer Bell and Avon Barksdale. However, loyalty only goes but so far. Stringer could control the board but not the game. That's what Avon was for. They read off each other and their weakness was just what the killer needed to take Stringer out.

Stringer tried to sell Avon out in exchange for his life and the plan backfired. He always thought he was one step ahead of everyone, when in fact, he was running in circles. A weakness the killer will expose.

Marlo

Marlo in The Wire, looking scared

Marlo is a boss. While he's not as calculating as Avon, Marlo is not to be taken lightly. In his mind, he's the best Baltimore has ever seen. But the reality of the situation is he's still No. 2 behind Avon. And that right there is his weakness and why he's not viewed as a well-like character. He sees the finish line but he's still blinded by ambition.

Because of that, the killer will take advantage. With Snoop and Chris out hunting, Marlo is on his own. Not afraid to shoot his gun, Marlo still has Avon on the mind. That ambition is the reason Marlo will die next.

Avon

wood harris

He's just a gangsta. That's the way in which Avon Barksdale describes himself. In all fairness, he's correct. It was Stringer who thought beyond the street corners while Avon just wanted his name to ring loud like the rest of the Baltimore legends.

But when facing a scene straight out of a horror film, Avon will not back down from the code of the streets. He's a more seasoned Bodie. No one will take his corners and for all his intelligence, that street mentality will be what does him in.

Michael

Michael in The Wire

Michael is probably the most underrated character on The Wire. Think about it, he has the street hustle of Avon and Marlo, the smarts of Stringer, and the killer instinct of Omar. But Michael was too smart for his own good.

The killer just has to wait for Michael to slip up. A kid that young, no matter how intelligent, is bound to make a mistake. For Michael, it may come down to getting his brother and friends out of town only to return himself. He will last longer than most thought, but he didn't take his chance to leave when the opportunity came.

Snoop

The Wire Snoop Nail Gun Scene

Wherever Chris goes, Snoop goes. She will suffer the same fate but will fall at the knees of the killer just a few seconds before Chris does. Snoop loves the thrill of the kill and as enticing as it would be to put the killer in the abandoned building, this is one hit that Snoop will fail at making.

Not that her guard will be down, she just dives headfirst into a situation without proper thought. She's deadly, but this is a time, such as the Michael situation where she underestimated her mark.

Chris

Chris in The Wire

Chris and Snoop are a team. You won't see one without the other. But what makes Chris more dangerous than Snoop is his ability to access a situation. Marlo is tough but it's Chris who Marlo turns to when it's time to get his hands dirty.

Chasing a target is nothing new to Chris. He's calculating and will wait for the precise moment to strike, whereas his partner will push the envelope. Chris's death will come out of loyalty and not a lack of planning as he looks to avenges Snoop's murder.

Brother Mouzone

Brother Mouzone in The wire

Brother Mouzone, much like Omar is a tough kill for the killer. They're both quiet on their feet and fully understand the element of surprise. Mouzone, out of New York knows the back streets of Baltimore but not as much as Omar does. Mouzone has one of those storylines that was never resolved so it would be nice to see how this plays out.

Mouzone is skilled with any gun and will go down defending his life to his very last bullet. What makes him different from Chris and Snoop is that he has no real ties to these corners and will not go looking for trouble unless he's given orders.

Omar

Omar came back (The Wire)

Unlike Stringer, Avon, and Marlo, Omar owns no real estate on any Baltimore corner. He's the guy who takes people's property. So, if a killer is on the loose, the only way Omar would get involved is as if he's cutting into his territory.

Omar can walk the streets with his eyes closed and still have an advantage. But what will be his downfall would be his inability to form a team. Alone, he's a terror but if he could have joined with Brother Mouzone and Chris, Omar would have found a way to be the only surviving cast member. Instead, he's the last to die.
