Over the course of 18 seasons, The Voice has produced a record number of country singers. Five of them have won the competition. To date, country singers lead the rankings, with the highest number of winners of all genres featured on the show.

Coach Blake Shelton has made his mark for mentoring all five country singers. These talented musicians really hit the target, and some have built impressive careers.

Cassadee Pope From Season 3

The Voice season 3 winner was Cassadee Pope. The 31-year old country singer came to the show from West Palm Beach, Florida. Since her win, Cassadee Pope has been the lead singer of the rock band Hey Monday. The first female winner of The Voice released her EP, Cassadee Pope, in 2012. Cassadee’s most popular hit on Spotify is “Wasting All These Tears.”

Danielle Bradbery from Season 4

Coach Blake Shelton took home another win in The Voice season 4. Country singer Danielle Bradbery made history as the youngest person to win the competition. Danielle Bradbery proudly represented her hometown of Houston, Texas, on The Voice stage at just 16 years of age. Danielle Bradbery’s “The Heart of Dixie” peaked at #16 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs in August 2013.

Craig Wayne Boyd From Season 7

Country singers did not see another win until The Voice season 7. Craig Wayne Boyd brought a win for Coach Blake Shelton, according to Billboard. The country singer from Mesquite, Texas, has produced the albums Top Shelf and MORE.

Sundance Head From Season 11

The Voice season 11 winner Sundance Head brought another win for country singers... and Coach Blake Shelton. Prior to The Voice, the country singer was no stranger to The Voice-style live competition. Sundance Head is the son of the late singer Roy Head. Sundance Head also competed as a semi-finalist during American Idol season 6.

Todd Tilghman From Season 18

Todd Tilghman is the most recent country singer to win The Voice. The father of eight won The Voice season 18 in May 2020. Todd Tilghman claimed the title as the oldest winner of the show. The 42-year old is a pastor from Meridian, Mississippi. Although most things have been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Todd Tilghman plans to record country music in the near future.

Tanner Gomes took the stage Tuesday night, as the newest country singer hoping to impress the judges with his vocals. Since The Voice's blind auditions are just beginning, the country hopeful has a long road ahead of him. Tanner Gomes will have to make it through the battle (not to mention the knockout rounds) to claim the title of The Voice season 19 winner.
