Christina Aguilera was one of the most successful coaches in the history of The Voice, with a career track record that not too many popstars have been able to match. Back in 1998, Christina Aguilera was just an up-and-coming actress and musician who was best known for appearing on The Mickey Mouse Club as a child. Alas, Disney asked Christina to record the single version of "Reflection", the theme song for Mulan. Following the massive success that Christina's rendition of "Reflection" was, she landed a record deal and started to work on her self-titled debut album, 1999's Christina Aguilera.

By the time Christina Aguilera was cast as one of the original coaches on The Voice, she was already hailed as one of the most popular and most talented popstars on the planet. Christina appeared as a coach on The Voice throughout all three of the series' inaugural seasons. In those three seasons, she was joined by OG coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and CeeLo Green. However, Christina went on to take a break when it came time for season 4, which she skipped. When Xtina came back for season 5, she already didn't seem as invested as she used to be on the show. She returned to the series two more times after that: seasons 8 and 10.

But regardless of Christina Aguilera's role as a recurring coach on The Voice, she has had an incredible career outside of the show. When adding up all eight of her albums, Xtina has sold over 75 million albums over the course of her career, making her one of the most successful singers in the history of the music industry. Her self-titled album alone sold 14 million copies back in 1999. Other notable mentions include 2002's Stripped (10 million copies) and 2006's Back To Basics (5 million copies).

In fact, many longtime fans of Christina Aguilera choose to completely disregard her beef with The Voice, as this is a popstar with one of the most powerful voices of all time. Over the course of her career, which now spans nearly 30 years, Xtina has been known for releasing new music, touring the world, acting in films, selling merchandise, and landing marketing deals with various brands. In 2020, Xtina returned to her origins as she released a brand-new original song "Loyal Brave True" for the live-action remake of Mulan.

It is extremely unlikely that Christina Aguilera would ever return as a main coach on The Voice. With that said, weirder things have happened in the entertainment industry, so one can never say "never" with that much confidence. Still, it seems like Christina doesn't miss being a coach, and the show is also doing fine with its current coaches.
