The Voice coach, Ariana Grande, sent her love and gratitude as she said goodbye to her team, who failed to make it through to the season 21 finale. Ariana joined the NBC competition show in September for season 21. She immediately fit right in, joking around and teasing fellow coach Blake Shelton and quickly befriending Kelly Clarkson. In October, the two even released a Christmas duet called "Santa, Can't You Hear Me." Ariana received praise and assistance from friend Kristin Chenoweth, who worked as Team Ariana's mentor earlier in the season.

The show moves through a series of rounds before making it to the live show, which is fan-voted. First, The Voice contestants do a blind audition, and if a judge turns around for them, they can claim them. If multiple coaches turn around, the contestant can choose whose team they want to be on. The battle round is next; here, contestants perform a duet with another contestant from their team to see who will move forward on the show. Battle rounds are followed by knockout rounds in which contestants from the same team compete against each other, singing their own individual songs. The show then moves onto the live shows where fans choose who stays and who goes home. In this case, the members of Team Ariana did not receive enough votes to remain in the competition.

Ariana took to Twitter to express how happy she was to have met her team members and have had the experience she did on the show this season. After announcing it was a season wrap for Team Ariana, the pop star conveyed her gratitude by writing, "to have met & worked with such brilliant artists is the greatest gift and honor of all of this. i can't believe there wasn't a time i didn't know you all." Ariana's last remaining team member was a father-daughter duo named Jim & Sasha Allen. Unfortunately, they were voted off on Tuesday night's episode meaning Ariana will have to sit the finale episode out.

The coach was very close to her team members throughout the season and was honest about how difficult it was for her to eliminate members from her team. During the blind auditions, Ariana made all of her team members vocal health kits and even invited members from her team over for Thanksgiving. She continues to stay in contact with contestants despite their elimination and supports them like family. Ariana concluded her thread of tweets by writing, "thank you for changing my life for the better."

Ariana's millions of fans will surely miss seeing her on the show every week, but as she mentioned on Twitter, it is not the end of the line for her team. Many stars have gone on to have successful careers after failing to win a reality competition show. Performers like Jennifer Hudson and One Direction starred on reality singing competition shows, neither won, but both have achieved greatness in the music and film industries. The singers on Team Ariana were undeniably talented this season, and though none have made it to the finale, with their talent and dedication, they all have bright futures ahead of them.

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 pm EST on NBC.
