The first week of Blind Auditions on The Voice season 21 featured one of the most talented line-ups of singers in the history of the show. After 10 years on the air, NBC is shaking things up for The Voice season 21. First and foremost, the series hired one of the most successful pop stars in the biz to appear as a main coach during this season: Ariana Grande. No one could've predicted that Ari would take time from her busy schedule to coach on The Voice, but she was indeed brought in.
In turn, The Voice has brought back its trio of mainstay coaches who have become staples on the show: Blake Shelton, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson. The advisors announced for this season were also high-profile musicians that include Camila Cabello (Team Legend), Kristin Chenoweth (Team Ariana), Jason Aldean (Team Kelly), and Dierks Bentley (Team Blake). Now that the panel of advisors and coaches on The Voice season 21 has been established, it was for the competition to really start with the Blind Auditions.
A total of 18 aspiring singers advanced on The Voice season 21 following the first week of Blind Auditions. Team Kelly is now home to contestants Kinsey Rose, Carolina Alonso, Gymani, and a band called Girl Name Tom consisting of siblings Bekah, Joshua, and Caleb. Ariana has chosen Katie Rae, Katherine Ann Mohler, Vaughn Mugol, Chavon Rodgers, and the father-son act known as Jim & Sasha Allen to be on her team. Peedy Chavis, Wendy Moten, Lana Scott, and Hailey Green have been chosen for Team Blake. John welcomed to Team Legend five singers in the first week: Jonathan Mouton, Jack Rogan, Samuel Harness, Joshua Vacanti, and Paris Winningham.
As the competition enters week two of Blind Auditions, the coaches still have quite a few spots in their respective teams. They can also still "block" one of their fellow coaches from being able to get an auditioning singer to join his or her team. It should be noted that the season will also have a third week of Blind Auditions in the October 4 and October 5 episodes airing on NBC. The season will then move on to the Battles round, followed by the Knockouts round, followed by the live shows. This is just the beginning of The Voice season 21.
Judging by the contestants seen during the first week of Blind Auditions, The Voice season 21 will be an unforgettable time for the series. Plus, the addition of Ari as a coach has certainly been truly exciting for young viewers. Hopefully, the level of talent featured on the show will keep surprising not only the coaches but also the viewers.
