The fans fell in love with The Voice season 19 winner Carter Rubin and want to know what he has been up to since winning the show under coach Gwen Stefani. Carter was introduced on The Voice as a 14-year-old aspiring singer from Shoreham, New York. His Blind Audition performance of Lewis Capaldi's "Before You Go" impressed coaches Gwen Stefani and John Legend, who both turned their chairs for him. Online, Carter's performance went immediately viral with the fans, making him one of the initial frontrunners to go all the way.

Throughout season 19 of The Voice, Carter Rubin had to fight his way through the competition. In the Knockouts round, Carter won over Chloé Hogan, but she still got saved by John Legend and moved forward in the season. In the Live Playoffs, Carter sang Mariah Carey's "Hero" and won the public's vote. He went on to win the public's vote once again in the semifinals after performing to The Muppet Movie's "The Rainbow Connection". At the finale, Carter performed Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" and an original song called "Up From Here". In the end, he was crowned the winner of season 19.
