Two years after its announcement and five years since the original series concluded, The Venture Bros. movie receives an exciting update. The Venture Bros. is an animated Adult Swim series and spoof of Jonny Quest. Despite receiving critical acclaim during its run, the series was abruptly canceled after seven seasons, ending in 2018. While a film was confirmed to be in development in 2021 to give the show a proper finale, the 2022 Warner Bros. Discovery merger led to fears that The Venture Bros. movie would never happen. Fortunately, Nico Colaleo, an animation creator known for shows like Ollie & Scoops, recently revealed that The Venture Bros. movie is now complete. Colaleo also shared that it's unknown when the film will be released.

What To Expect From The Venture Bros. Movie

The Venture Bros. movie will serve as the animated show's long-awaited series finale. Even though it is a bit of a bittersweet ending to a critically acclaimed series, it still holds much potential and appeal. This is especially true because the show was known for knocking it out of the park with its feature-length specials between seasons, such as "All This and Gargantua-2." With an even bigger budget and production timeline than before, The Venture Bros. movie has the potential to be quite impactful.

Additionally, there are many points The Venture Bros. left unanswered when the series unexpectedly ended. Season 8 was in the process of being written when the news of the show's cancelation hit. As a result, the series had no time to tie up loose ends or answer some of its greatest mysteries, like learning more about Dean and Hank's mother, how Rusty is related to The Monarch, and what ultimately becomes of Team Venture. The Venture Bros. film's plot is expected to answer most of these pressing questions.

Additionally, viewers can anticipate that the film will do justice to the original Venture Bros. series, especially with masterminds Chris McCulloch and Doc Hammer at the helm. McCulloch and Hammer will be returning as the film's writers, and are, thus, anticipated to be subsequently returning as the voices of Hank and The Monarch, and Henchman 21, Billy Quizboy, and Dr. Girlfriend, respectively. James Urbaniak will also return as Rusty, while Patrick Warburton will reprise his role as Brock Samson. With The Venture Bros. movie being officially complete and with the cast and crew expected to return to resolve the show's biggest mysteries, the film is looking very promising.
