Many of these talents have had longstanding careers, appearing in memorable roles on popular TV shows and movies. Some have shown up in the MCU, some in Academy Award-winning films, and others in well-received television series spanning all sorts of genres. After watching the film on Prime, it's worth checking out their other work.

Seychelle Gabriel (Sergeant Diaz) - Falling Skies

Seychelle Gabriel

Considering the movie isn't officially out yet, knowing the full descriptions of each character can be difficult. It's known that Seychelle Gabriel will be playing Sergeant Diaz, so it can be expected that she is part of the team fighting the actual war against the aliens.

While Gabriel might not be a household name, the actor has a bit of history in the genre. For 38 episodes across four seasons, she played Lourdes Delgado on Falling Skies, a series that centered on civilians dealing with the impact of an alien invasion.

Mary Lynn Rajskub (Norah) - 24

Norah is one of the civilians who gets drafted to be part of the war in the future. She doesn't have much experience with action but is smart, listens closely, and proves to be a solid addition to the team. She is played by veteran actor Mary Lynn Rajskub.

Another performer with a name that might not jump out at the audience, Rajskub is recognizable for a variety of roles. She has appeared in It's Always Sunny in PhiladelphiaDude, Where's My Car?, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, to name a few. Her most famous work is likely as CTU agent Chloe O'Brien, Jack Bauer's trusted colleague on 24.

Keith Powers (Major Greenwood) - What/If

Keith Powers is a rising young actor in Hollywood who has started to pop up in some of the more notable films and television shows of recent years. In The Tomorrow War, he portrays Major Greenwood, who should be in on the action against the aliens.

He popped up as Tyree in Straight Outta Compton and played real life artist Ronnie DeVoe in The New Edition Story. Following a main role on Famous in Love, Powers had another big part in Netflix's thriller series What/If as Todd, the best friend of Sean (Blake Jenner).

Jasmine Mathews (Lt. Hart) - The Rookie

Similar to Powers, Mathews is another rising star without many credits to their name. In fact, this marks the film debut of Mathews with the rest of the filmography being television series. That notably includes a seven-episode run on The Rookie as social services agent Rachel Hall.

Edwin Hodge (Dorian) - The Purge

While Dorian doesn't have a military ranking with his name like some others, he might be the best in combat of them all. He has seen multiple tours in the future and is adept at killing aliens. He is played by Edwin Hodge.

Hodge has steadily moved up as an actor over the years, from National Lampoon's Dorm Daze to Bumblebee. However, he is most known as Dante Bishop from The Purge movie series, appearing in the first three installments, including being the person who set the events of the first film in motion.

Sam Richardson (Charlie) - Veep

Like Dorian, Charlie is apparently someone who fights alongside the protagonist despite not having a military ranking. Charlie is played by Sam Richardson, another veteran actor with a slew of minor appearances throughout his career. He becomes a friend to Dan and is the comic relief of the story.

They include small parts in Horrible Bosses 2 and Promising Young Woman. He is more prominent on television, with roles in M.O.D.O.K. and Bojack Horseman, as well as in 40 episodes of the Emmy award-winning comedy Veep as the easy to like Richard Splett.

Betty Gilpin (Emmy Forester) - GLOW

She first rose to prominence on Nurse Jackie and later showed up in films like The Hunt and Stuber. A reason for her expanded career lately is her fantastic work as Debbie Eagan on Netflix's female wrestling series GLOW, for which she scored two Emmy nominations.

J.K. Simmons (James Forester) - Whiplash

The premise of the movie lays out that the protagonist teams up with his estranged father during the battle with the aliens. James is that character and he is played by J.K. Simmons, who has a few tense scenes with his son

Simmons is no stranger to the world of sci-fi, playing J. Jonah Jameson in various Spider-Man movies and voicing Omni-Man in Invincible. To get a true gauge of how incredible of an actor he is, it's worth watching Whiplash, where he won an Oscar for his portrayal of vicious music instructor Terence Fletcher.

Yvonne Strahovski (Col. Muri Forester) - Chuck

Sarah Walker

The character of Muri Forester is certainly the most intriguing on paper. Muri is the daughter of Dan and Emmy Forester and the young version is played by Ryan Kiera Armstrong. When Dan goes to fight in the future, he finds Col. Muri Forester, his adult daughter portrayed by Yvonne Strahovski.

While Strahovski doesn't have the biggest movie career, she has worked on major television shows. That recently includes an Emmy nominated performance in The Handmaid's Tale and her most famous role as CIA agent Sarah Walker in Chuck.

Chris Pratt (Dan Forester) - Guardians Of The Galaxy

Some of the most popular are Passengers and Jurassic World. Of course, Pratt's biggest role is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, where he has appeared in two Guardians of the Galaxy films and two Avengers films. He's also set for a part in Thor: Love and Thunder.
