Within film and television, oftentimes some of the funniest moments can be found through references to other films and TV shows. During the scene, Stewie rides his bike throughout various settings before encountering the two twin girls from the shining who dive out of the way of his bike. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

The inclusion of title cards indicating the day further adds to the deliberate parody of this episode.

The Office

Directly following a scene of Michael Scott awkwardly referring to himself as the "big daddy" of the office, the comedic timing and implementation of Dwight Schrute's "All work and no play makes Michael a dull boy" is so unexpectedly comedic in both its timing and in the execution of Dwight's impression.

During the closing moments of season 5's "Bondage and Beta Male Sexuality" we see a final close-up image of the group together in a group photo that heavily resembles that of The Shining's closing scene. Though very subtle in approach, it is enough to make any fan of The Shining laugh in appreciation of this humorous scene.

Bob's Burgers

In season 1's "Crawl Space", there are several references made towards The Shining however the funniest of these moments comes as Grandma Gloria bursts from the walls of the restaurant declaring "Here's Bobby!" as she does so. Though a blatant reference to The Shining it is hard not to laugh at the abrupt nature of this scene.
