The Ranch is a Netflix Original that let Ashton Kutcher take the spotlight in another hilarious comedy-drama. The eighth and final part of this show premiered earlier in 2020, and fans finally have to say goodbye to the Iron River ranch and these characters' lives in Garrison.
While each of these characters are dynamic and hilarious, fans probably have their favorite, and their not-so-favorite of the bunch. With the show coming to end, we'll certainly miss laughing with this cast, or at least most of them. Here are 5 characters from the show we'll miss, and 5 that we probably won't.
Won't Miss: Maggie
Maggie comes and goes throughout the series, and honestly, she usually provides some decent parts of the plot. However, Maggie can be extremely overwhelming. To fans, she usually just seems self-obsessed and a pretty big know-it-all.
Her open-mindedness is a pretty refreshing aspect in the show, but it really isn't enough when it's being offered by her snide comments and selfish behavior. Maggie isn't exactly a character that has a large fan base to miss her.
Will Miss: Beau
Beau is a character that can definitely be a bit annoying, especially when it comes to his closed-mindedness. However, at the end of the day, fans love this old cowboy and all his hilarious jokes.
Besides his humor, Beau has a heart of gold, and fans definitely connected to this traditional man who loves his ranch and his family. This show has sadly come to an end, but fans will never forget this wonderful character.
Won't Miss: Mary
Mary is an interesting and dynamic character, but the truth is that her entire role is pretty much to create issues for the other characters. Mary's addiction is a difficult theme for this show to tackle, and it did add some substance to the show.
However, Mary's character is pretty darn frustrating. To be honest, she doesn't have a whole lot of redeeming qualities, and she can actually be quite selfish and rude. That being said, fans probably won't be sad to never see her again.
Will Miss: Joanne
Joanne is a pure, hilarious, and totally wonderful character. She's honest, smart, funny, and has a heart of gold. This character was someone that all fans could love, and we're certainly going to miss her spirit and charm.
This character added a lot to the show, and her relationship with Beau is one of the many things fans love about this show. With the series having ended, we'll all certainly remember Joanne.
Won't Miss: Hank
Hank provides some pretty mediocre comic relief throughout the entire series. He is always at the bar, and he always misreads the situation and just wants to drink some more.
Outside of that, he doesn't really offer anything to the show or to any of the fans watching. If anything, his character is just pretty repetitive and annoying. Now that the show has ended, we're definitely not going to miss, or remember, this character.
Will Miss: Heather
Heather is a character that changed immensely from when viewers first met her to the end of the series. By the end, fans were in love with this strong, intelligent, and bold woman. Heather is super well-rounded, and her humor and strength is totally mesmerizing.
Heather is definitely a character that fans will remember and miss, and we'll always love everything about her spirit. While we're still Team Abby for Colt, we certainly love this character all by herself.
Won't Miss: Lisa
Lisa is a wolf in sheep's clothing. While her role is quite literally to be the villain of the show, she does it pretty well, because fans can't stand this character. She is the epitome of what small business owners hate, and she isn't super likable anyways.
With the series finally wrapped up, fans can finally say that they don't have to deal with this character anymore and all the unpleasant drama she stirs up. Fans are happy to see Colt live his life without her.
Will Miss: Luke
Luke is a newer addition to the series, but his role as Colt's cousin was instantly hilarious and memorable. Dax Shepard brought everything he had to the role, and his quirky behavior is enough for fans to fall in love with him.
He's a bit more reasonable and responsible than Colt, but he's still hilarious and entertaining. For all of these reasons, we certainly will miss this lovable character.
Won't Miss: Abby
These last two could definitely be reversed, and quite frankly, it's impossible to decide which character we'll miss, or won't miss, between Colt and Abby. Fans usually love Abby, and she's certainly hilarious, intelligent, and sarcastic.
She'll call out Colt any day, and she definitely become much more patient and understanding in the final season. However, Abby has certainly crossed us by being a bit outrageous and not supporting our boy, Colt.
Will Miss: Colt
Colt is a character that fans love to hate and hate to love. While he could easily be swapped with Abby on this list, we might just actually miss this character's huge heart and southern drawl.
Colt definitely makes a lot of mistakes, and often acts in ways that has every viewer shaking their head. But at the end of the day, he is what made this show as great as it is. While this Netflix Original comes to an end, there will certainly be many more to come in 2020.
