Alma Wheatley - INFJ
Alma might have just been Beth's biggest supporter throughout the series, which already says a lot about her character. This type of personality is an idealist. They're creative, passionate, and kind.
However, they're definitely known for being a bit down on themselves, and aren't super resilient when tragedy strikes. Of course, like Alma, an INFJ is altruistic, and has a huge heart.
Helen Deardorff - ENTJ
This character wasn't exactly everyone's favorite, but Helen also had a complicated dynamic. An ENTJ is a leader. They like to command and be in charge, and this means they can also be a bit arrogant or impatient.
Still, there was probably a lot more to Helen than meets the eye. She did her duty, and there was little beyond that. This personality type is dominant and intolerant, but they get stuff done, too.
D.L. Townes - INFP
Townes was a mysterious, handsome, and totally charming character. He was kind, but he was also brilliant. This personality is the 'mediator', and they're known for being a bit quieter.
Of course, they're also totally thoughtful, kind, open-minded, and charming. They are passionate and lovely people, and their only weaknesses are probably that they're a bit too idealistic and emotional. Townes was a lovable guy.
Mr. Shaibel - ISTJ
Mr. Shaibel might have been the most heart-breaking part of this series. He had a huge heart, but he was certainly reserved and hard to read. The bottom line, though, is that he was strong-willed, honorable, and honest.
Fans didn't get to know him too well, but they know he had a lot of skills. This personality type can be a bit judgmental or super 'by the book', which he was, but Mr. Shaibel was also super caring.
Benny Watts - ENFP
It's hard for anyone to not be mesmerized by Benny Watts, and it's clear why Beth had a bit of an infatuation with him - but also why they could never actually be together. This personality type is known as the 'campaigner'.
An ENFP is enthusiastic and charming, but they're also super observant and quick-witted. They're popular and well-loved, but they can also be a bit too independent and distracted. It's what everyone loves (and understands) about Benny.
Allston Wheatley - INTJ
If there was one character that all fans could agree they didn't like, it's probably Allston. It isn't to say being an INTJ is bad, but he certainly just reflects a lot of their negative qualities.
He's rational and independent, but he's mostly pretty arrogant, selfish, and dismissive of his own and others' emotions. They're critical people, which is sometimes a strength and sometimes a weakness.
Jolene - ESTP
Jolene might be one of the most unique and hilarious parts of this series. Like a true ESTP, she's bold and original. This personality type is known for being loud and blunt, but they're sociable beings.
On the flip side, all fans know that Jolene can be a bit of risk-taker and also be insensitive. They're defiant and unstructured, and that's both the best and the worst part about Jolene.
Vasily Borgov - INTP
Borgov was Beth's most difficult opponent, and that just shows how brilliant this character is. An INTP is known as the 'logician', which means they're amazing at both abstract and analytical thought.
They're original, straightforward, and objective. Borgov doesn't really show much of a personality, which is actually fairly typical with this type. Their weaknesses are that they are withdrawn and reserved, while also being a bit insensitive.
Harry Beltik - ISFJ
Lots of fans shipped Harry Beltik and Beth Harmon, and it's probably because he was as sweet as pie. An ISFJ is a selfless and caring personality type, and Harry proved this by being totally supportive of Beth, but also worrying about and caring for her.
This type of person is loyal, hard-working, and reliable. Of course, they're a bit on the quiet side, and they have fragile hearts. Harry is all of this, making him a pretty lovable guy.
Beth Harmon - ISTP
Beth is an extremely dynamic and interesting character, and she certainly has her flaws and her strengths. She's a little hard to read and dissect, but she probably fits best into the ISTP personality type.
This kind of person is creative but practical, and spontaneous but rational. They are fantastic in a crisis, and they have a determination that's unmatched. These are all Beth's positive traits, but like a true ISTP, she's also stubborn, reserved, and sometimes insensitive. Plus, they're a bit risky. She fits into this personality type like a glove.
