Mark LeBlanc and his Border Collie Ace have been crowned the winners of Amazon's new competition series, The PackThe show, which sent dogs and their adventurous owners on a challenging race around the world, began with twelve dog-and-human pairs. After nine episodes and some serious twists and turns, the final teams made their way back to the USA for the final leg of the competition. LeBlanc and Ace were victorious.

Hosted by gold medalist skier Lindsey Vonn and her dog Lucy, The Pack took teams all over the globe, to places like Mexico City, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Ace and LeBlanc were strong competitors throughout the competition. They always seemed to be in sync. It came as no surprise that they ended up on top, winning $500,000, plus an additional $250,000 for their charity of choice.

After careful consideration, LeBlanc chose to allocate his winnings to a charity close to his heart. He chose to assist the Best Friends Animal Society, which is an organization dedicated to animal welfare. Best Friends Animal Society has specifically set a goal to make all USA shelters no-kill shelters by 2025. This is an issue that is personal to LeBlanc and his wife Elizabeth, as their second dog Charlie was a rescue.

In an interview with People, LeBlanc spoke very highly of the whole process of competing on The Pack. He added that it was fun to do the competition with his best canine friend by his side. A mechanical engineer from Salt Lake City, Utah, LeBlanc is no stranger to adventure, and neither is Ace. Before the competition, Ace had been skiing and trail running with LeBlanc, and now, he's hungry for more. LeBlanc told People that he's been keeping Ace stimulated using exercises he was taught in the lead-up to filming, at the training camp they attended with other The Pack contestants.

Following the win, LeBlanc received an outpouring of positive energy on social media, both on his personal Instagram and on the Instagram page he has set up for Ace. Unsurprisingly, both accounts have adorable content, thanks to the fact that LeBlanc is also a hobbyist outdoor/adventure photographer. See an Instagram post of dog and human below:

Touched by all of the kind messages he has received, LeBlanc decided to start his own podcast called Chasing Aces. During the podcast, he will interview figures, such as athletes and scientists, that have inspired him. However, in LeBlanc's opinion, the best outcome is how close he and his dog became during the series. In a recent Instagram post on his Mark C. LeBlanc account, Mark celebrated the 10-year anniversary of owning Ace and wrote about the incredible bond that they have. He called Ace his "#2 in life," (second only to his wife, of course). Clearly, The Pack's winners have many more adventures ahead of them!
