While millions of fans can agree that the Jim and Pam storyline is what TV romance is made of, there are a few unpopular opinions regarding the couple—but that’s not all! Keep scrolling to see 10 unpopular opinions of The Office that are sure to captivate longtime fans... or leave them mildly irritated.

The "Asian Jim" Skit Wasn't Funny

In the episode "Andy's Ancestry," the episode kicks off with actor Randall Park walking into the office and taking a seat at Jim's desk. Dwight is instantly confused and asks who he is, and he claims he's Jim.

He knew all of Jim's sales from the following day and even knew his pin code for his phone. Pam came in moments later and kissed "Asian Jim." It turns out that he was an actor friend of Jim and Pam's, and he joined forces to prank Dwight into thinking he didn't see race. It was a hilarious introduction to the episode, but one fan didn't find it comical in the slightest.

Seasons 8 And 9 Were Great...

Many Office fans can agree that the earlier seasons were gold while the later seasons fell off the tracks a bit. Seasons seven through nine were worthwhile, of course, but the show lost its magic after Steve Carell left.

However, one fan told Reddit that they actually liked seasons eight and nine! In those seasons, Robert California and Gabe are newbies to the office, and we see the final outcome of nine years of filming.

Toby Isn't As Bad As Michael Thinks

An ongoing gag throughout The Office is how much Michael despises Toby. Toby is an HR rep, so Michael thinks he's always out to get him and cancel any fun being had. After a while, Toby backs off completely because he's tired of Michael's antics. However, seeing how hilariously mad Michael got any time Toby was in the room caused his hatred for him to be transferred to fans. Well, all but one fan. As they told Reddit, they didn't think Toby was bad at all. He was simply doing his job and wanted to be liked.

Dwight Chose The Wrong Woman

Isabel is Pam's cousin and a one-time lover of Dwight's. She was tall, strong, and beautiful—the perfect mate for a farmer like Dwight. However, after sleeping with her the night before Pam and Jim's wedding, Dwight didn't want her to get too attached to him and treated her poorly.

Later on in the series, Dwight runs into her again, but, this time, he's in a contractual relationship with Angela. He ends up choosing Angela and her womb over Isabel once again.

Although some fans like the relationship and outcome between Dwight and Angela, one fan feels he should have stayed with Isabel.

Michael Is The Worst

Michael Scott isn't for everyone. Fans either love him or hate him. They either see the goodness that's buried below the craziness, or they see him as an annoying man-child. Regardless of how he acted through seven seasons, Michael Scott really is cherished by his employees and viewers.

One fan, however, told Reddit that they're not a fan of Michael Scott and don't find his antics humorous at all. He can be sexist, racist, selfish, and everything in between.

Andy And Erin Shouldn't Have Ever Happened

Erin and Andy in The Office

Aside from Jim and Pam and Dwight and Angela, Erin and Andy were the next couple built up throughout the series. But, does that mean they were right together? Erin and Andy both loved to have fun, sing, and dance, but, when it came to more serious matters, they were at a crossroads. Erin never felt like she fit in with Andy's family, and she didn't like how he handled his breakup with Jessica. Likewise, Andy seemed embarrassed by Erin at times and wasn't always truthful.

One fan felt like the writers tried to create more drama after rushing through the Jim and Pam storyline, which created a "half-assed" plot for the couple.

Jim & Pam Were Better As Flirty Friends

Does anyone feel like the magic between Jim and Pam left the screen as soon as they started dating? There was something so thrilling about two friends and co-workers who secretly loved each other but couldn't be together. After Pam called off her wedding to Roy, and Jim broke off his relationship with Karen, it was smooth sailing for the new couple until Jim left for Athlead.

One fan agreed and thinks Pam putting Jim in the "friendzone" created a better relationship for the two than them actually dating.

Nelly Wasn't As Bad As Everyone Made Her Out To Be

For whatever reason, Nelly Bertram doesn't have too many fans of hers, both in the office and among viewers. She started out in an odd way when the group met her in Florida, and then she ruffled some feathers when she transferred to Scranton, but was she as bad as everyone was making her out to be?

One fan doesn't think so. They actually liked Nelly and could see she was a decent person who was just trying to get her foot in the door in an aggressive manner.

Kevin's Iconic Chili Spill Wasn't Funny

Kevin carries his homemade curry in to the office in The Office

When Kevin Malone is seen walking from the parking lot all the way up to Dunder Mifflin, he's explaining the hard work and dedication that goes into his chili recipe. It's a recipe that's been passed down in the Malone family for generations, and he takes pride in it. Sadly, when he enters the office, he drops his massive chili pot and it spills all over the carpet. Most fans laughed in horror, but one fan didn't think it was funny at all. They felt he deserved admiration for his chili because he worked so hard on it; he didn't deserve to be laughed at.

Erin Is Worse Than Fans Think

erin breaks up with andy - the office

Erin comes off as an adorably sweet and naive young woman, but one fan thinks it's all an act and doesn't understand how others don't see the bad in her. In fact, they blame Erin for Andy's descent into madness.

She's the one who broke up with Andy for something he did before he met her, she forced Andy to join her Valentine's Day scavenger hunt for Gabe even though Andy clearly still loved her, and she got drunk at the office Christmas party and said horrible things about Jessica. Erin wasn't as cute as she seemed.
