Former stars of The Office Ed Helms and Rainn Wilson reunited to sing "Take Me Home, Country Roads." The iconic office sitcom series recently hit a milestone of 15 years since the premiere of the first episode. Since then, the cast have gone on to do big things. Despite the time that has passed since the show has ended, the fandom seems to be as strong as ever, and the show seems to be just as relevant today.

For instance, a newly-launched podcast called "The Office Ladies" has been growing very popular among fans. A major selling point of the podcast is that it is hosted by two very funny former stars of the show, Jenna Fischer (Pam) and Angela Kinsey (Angela). The two actresses share fun anecdotes and insights from their time on the show. In other recent Office-related news, John Krasinski (Jim) started a web series called Some Good News to share uplifting news from around the world. During the inaugural episode, he invited Steve Carell (Michael) and the two reminisced about their time together.

Just today, two more Office stars reunited online; Ed Helms (Andy) met up with Rainn Wilson (Dwight) digitally and the two caught up. The Instagram Live video was part of Wilson's new talk show, Hey There, Human on SoulPancake. The video starts with Wilson telling Ed, "Well one thing I've really have always admired about you, Ed, is how creative you are." Helms then shares an anecdote about crafting different Star Wars spaceships out of office supplies to pass the time between setups and shots.

Wilson then suggests harmonizing with Helms on "Take Me Home, Country Roads" by John Denver, and the two former co-stars sing a few bars. They both seemed to have a lot of fun with it. The post was captioned, "This blossomed into a very real friendship 🤠." The caption also mentions that the song goes out to Ellie Kemper, who played Erin on the show. Wilson and Helms' characters, Dwight Schrute and Andy Bernard, famously sang the song to serenade Erin. What started out as a sing-off eventually turned into a friendly duet.

Dwight and Andy were famously rivals throughout many of the seasons on The Office. Whether it was for the trust of Michael, or Angela's love, the two characters have clashed multiple times. Despite their rivalry, they have had tender moments together like their banjo-guitar duet in the break room, and it's so much fun to see the actors stroll down memory lane and do the same. It would be great to hear a full cover performed by the two actors.
