Many of the characters on The Office are definitely over the top. They act in ways that wouldn’t be acceptable at a real-life business. Most of the characters are extremely unprofessional and they can be rather shameless in how they act. While some of the worst offenders are main characters such as Dwight and Michael, many of the other employees at Dunder Mifflin act in completely shameless ways.
One character who is rather dramatic and never feels bad about her antics is Kelly Kapoor, but these actions are definitely what made her so entertaining. Here are the ten most shameless things that Kelly Kapoor ever did.
PRETENDING TO BE PREGNANT TO GET RYAN’S ATTENTION
One of Kelly’s biggest flaws is that she loves to get attention. She doesn’t really care if it’s good attention or bad attention, she just wants to be talked about and in the middle of things.
Her relationship with Ryan is rather toxic, and he doesn’t really do a good job of giving her the attention she seeks. So, after he breaks up with her when he gets the job at corporate, she comes up with the lie that she’s pregnant to get him to pay attention to her again.
MAKING UP BAD CUSTOMER REVIEWS FOR JIM AND DWIGHT
Kelly can be a rather vindictive and petty person. If someone does something she doesn’t like or hurts her feelings in some way, she wants them to know about it and needs to get back at them.
One of the worst examples of this is when Dwight and Jim don’t come to her viewing party of America’s Got Talent, so she gets back at them with making up their customer surveys. Instead of giving Michael the true surveys, she concocts fake ones that claim that Jim and Dwight have been horrible at their jobs.
MAKING UP THAT SHE HAD BEEN SEXUALLY ASSAULTED
It seems that Kelly really has no shame when it comes to getting attention. She doesn't just stop at making up lies when it comes to getting Ryan’s attention, either. In fact, she will make claims to her boss to keep herself from getting into too much trouble.
During the same episode where she makes up the customer surveys for Jim and Dwight, she says to Michael that she’s been assaulted and that’s why she did it. She then admits that she made that up, and it’s also made apparent that she’s made fake claims like this before. It’s definitely messed up to lie about something like that.
BREAKING UP WITH DARYL OVER TEXT
All of Kelly’s relationships are rather shameless. She mostly just uses Daryl to get back at Ryan, and she does so by bringing him into meetings and making out with him.
She also goes too far when she tries to make Daryl choose her over his daughter. And, the final shameless thing she does during their relationship is to cheat on him with Ryan and then break up with him over text.
ACTING RIDICULOUS TO GET CHARLES MINER’S ATTENTION
When Charles Miner is hired by corporate to keep tabs on the Scranton branch, lots of things get shaken up. Michael gets so upset he leaves to start his own company, but Kelly and Angela react differently.
They are both extremely attracted to him and try to get his attention. Both Kelly and Angela act shamelessly about trying to get him to notice them, and they make fools out of themselves in the process.
GOSSIPPING ABOUT EVERYONE ALL THE TIME
Kelly is someone that absolutely loves to know about the gossip going around. She loves the tea and to spread and listen to gossip. She is one of the most awful offenders on The Office for talking smack about her coworkers.
She will say things about basically everyone and talk about their personal lives. She will also say if she doesn’t like the way a person looks or dresses. Overall, she doesn’t see anything wrong with gossiping.
HER RELATIONSHIP WITH RYAN IN GENERAL
Of all of the things that make Kelly the most shameless, her relationship with Ryan Howard is definitely one of the worst. Both of them act rather ridiculously in the relationship, and it’s an entire mess from the start.
Ryan definitely doesn’t treat her well, but she's shameless about the fact that she’s willing to keep getting back together with him and even leaving other boyfriends for him.
MARRYING AND DIVORCING RYAN
One rather hilarious and shocking moment from season seven is when Ryan and Kelly reveal that they actually got married. They tell their co-workers that they were married and that they are about to get a divorce only a week later.
This is just another instance of their relationship being quite the roller coaster. How they both act in this relationship is shameless from start to finish.
THINKING IT’S ROMANTIC THAT RYAN DITCHES HIS SON
Of all the shameless things that Kelly does, how she acts in the season finale of the series is probably the worst. She meets up with Ryan again and is totally fine with the fact that he basically ditches his son for her.
When Ryan gives his son a strawberry to cause an allergic reaction, Kelly finds this romantic instead of disturbing. It’s clear that her view of what’s romantic is extremely messed up.
GETTING BACK TOGETHER AND LEAVING RAVI
When Kelly meets up again with Ryan at Dwight and Angela’s wedding, she’s in a relationship with someone who is a way better person than Ryan. Ravi is a much better boyfriend and also has his life together, but Kelly literally leaves him and runs away with Ryan.
This is a pretty awful thing to do to someone that you’ve been dating, and it’s definitely the pinnacle of shameless behavior from Kelly.
