Pamela Morgan Pam Beesly Halpert is one of the main characters from the US show The Office. She was inspired by Dawn Tinsley’s character of the original UK version of the series. Fans are discussing a lot about her relationship these days. She had feelings for Jim from the start, and eventually started dating him in the third season.

Later, they got married in the sixth season. Although everyone loves Pam and Jim together, and they make an incredibly adorable couple, their relationship has traces of toxicity and manipulation. Today, we shall be sharing with you, ten characters from the show, whom Pam should have been apart from Jim.

Roy Anderson

Pam and Roy were high school sweethearts, and Roy really cared for her. He even remembered the color of roses he had bought for her, on their prom. But, he was not supportive at all. Pam wanted to learn graphic designing and he didn’t encourage her.

Even at her painting exhibition, he came with his brother only to taunt her painting at the end of the night. They remained in a long term relationship, but, broke up when Pam realized that she had romantic feelings for Jim. If she were not as laid-back and focused on business as he did after the break up with Pam, they would have been together. He is a decent match for her.

Danny Cordray

Danny Cordray was a traveling salesman in Dunder Mifflin. He was the top-performing salesman of the Scranton Wilkes Barre region. He was quite a looker, and it was revealed later that Pam was not over him even after her wedding with Jim. When Jim transferred to the Stamford branch and started dating Karen, Pam started having a fling with Danny.

She told Jim later that they had had two dates while Jim was not in Scranton, but Danny never called her after their second date, which she was still dejected about.

Michael Scott

At the start of the series, Pam seems pretty annoyed by Michael’s antics and shenanigans. But, as the storyline progressed, Michaell Scott and Pam started to share a very tender relationship, especially after Michael left Dunder Mifflin to start his own startup “Michael Scott Paper Company”.

It has been hinted several times that Michael hit on her. He even tried to kiss her at the Diwali celebration at Kelly Kapoor's house and asked Pam if they could be together later in life if they didn’t find someone.

The Guy From Graphic Designing Course

Pam is really interested in arts and she occasionally indulges in making paintings. In the fourth season, Michael puts up a booth at a local job fair where Pam finds a booth of a graphic design company. She gets really interested, and later, on Jim’s encouragement, enrolls herself at the Pratt design institute for a three-month internship.

There she makes a friend who really likes her and proposes to her in the next episode. He is really supportive and understanding. She too had very good chemistry with him.

Darryl

Since Pam definitely has a type, which includes hot and tall hunks with boyish charm, Darryl perfectly fits the bill. He has a distinct boyish charm and he loves pranks too, just like Jim. He is a single father and it has been portrayed that he really cares for his daughter.

He once dated Kelly and in spite of all the tantrums and stunts she pulled off, he was still ready to start all over again. He could have been a great match for quirky Pam.

Kevin Malone

Kevin was a lonely man and throughout the series, he was eager to try and find a girlfriend. He was engaged to a woman named Stacy. Stacy was a single mother to a daughter named Abby. She was the fourth woman he had proposed to, and the first whoever said yes to him.

He has a great sense of humor, although a bit childish. He is the lead singer and plays drums too, in his own band. He sings pretty decently and Pam loves music. It would have been really interesting to see dork Kevin with Pam.

Ryan Howard

The most obnoxious, arrogant and prudent character of The Office, Ryan Howard, had initially joined as an intern. Later he unwillingly started dating Kelly Kapoor. After Jan was fired and Jim refused to take the offer for the newly open position, he got promoted instead, as the office manager, due to his management degree.

He tried to ask Pam out once, but, she passed. His marriage with Kelly is destined to doom and tragedy. However, if someone could lead him to the correct path, it is Pam. She could have given him a much sensible character arc.

Andy Bernard

Andy had anger issues, but, he was not a bad guy. Just like Roy, his anger stemmed from the infidelity and questionable actions of his girlfriend. Throughout the series, he was treated like an annoying sidekick, but, he was one of the very few sensible (barring a few instances and his sychophant attitude) characters of the show.

He is rich, caring and very generous when it comes to his girlfriend. He endured Angela’s weird attitude and was ready to forgive her had she wanted to reignite their relationship. Later he became friends with Dwight, which shows how mature he is! He would have been a good match for Pam.

Dwight Shrute

When Jim joined Dunder Mifflin, Pam told him (and revealed later) on his first day, to enjoy as much as he can, before he met Dwight. She enjoyed Jim pranking him and very often, joined him in pulling those pranks.

She didn’t care for him much in the starting, but, later on, as Dwight started falling for Angela and became less weird, she started liking him. They even had a few genuine strands of friendship and bonding. They could have been a great couple - a hyper Dwight and cute Pam.

Toby Flenderson

Throughout the series, Toby has been shown to have a crush on Pam. He even tried a few times to ask her out, but, could never be brave enough to actually do that. In the episode “Goodbye Toby”, he took a few pictures with her for a memento and was more than eager to bring the cam from his desk when she agreed to pose with him.

When he departed later in the episode, Pam told the camera crew that she actually thought Toby was cute. If she were not dating Jim, they could have a chance for sure. Toby is a single father. Although he always looked lame and sullen, it felt like he cared for people he loved.
