The Office and Parks and Recreation have had a long-standing history of comparisons. After The Office released in 2005 and introduced a mockumentary-type sitcom, Parks and Recreation did the same thing four years later with a similar workplace comedy.

Both shows are wildly different yet similar and deserve the juxtaposition. In fact, fans of both series beg for some sort of crossover between the two shows. If the parks and rec. department joined forces with Dunder Mifflin, who would inevitably hookup? Let's take a look below!

April Ludgate & Dwight Schrute

April Ludgate is as serious as they come. She has a dark sense of humor and is very sarcastic. She hates doing work unless she loves it and she's not fond of the light and fluffy way of life. On the flipside, Dwight is also a very serious employee.

Since he's a little older than April, he has his head on straight and knew that his true passion was beet farming. If these two came together, they would join forces for Dwight's farm (April would most likely care for the animals) and takedown Jim with nonsensical pranks. These two probably wouldn't get married but they would date for a few months before they grew tired of each other.

Chris Traeger & Erin Hannon

the office x parks and rec - chris and erin

Chris Traeger is mature, driven, positive, and relationship-driven. As charming and optimistic as Chris was, he was always looking for Mrs. Right after he broke up with Ann. If Ann wasn't in the picture, something tells us he and Erin Hannon would hit it off.

Erin is just as positive and optimistic as Chris is. She would be more playful than Chris was used to but it could ignite his fun-loving spirit. These two would definitely lean on and support each other, and Chris would give Erin the family she always longed for.

Ryan Howard & Ann Perkins

Although Ann was on a mission to become more independent, there's no doubt that she would fall for Ryan Howard's charms from The Office. First off, Ryan loves a pretty face and Ann may as well be Karen (whom he already tried to ask out).

Ryan would transform himself into her perfect man until she gave him a chance. If Ann was able to date Tom for a few weeks, she would definitely date Rayn until Kelly Kapoor comes back around.

Tom Haverford & Kelly Kapoor

the office x parks and rec - tom and kelly

Come to think of it, Tom Haverford and Kelly Kapoor are very similar characters. Both of them have done some pretty horrible things. Kelly lied about being pregnant and Tom made Leslie's political events about his company. More than that, both characters don't belong in the jobs they have.

Both characters love pop culture references, fashion, and have no qualms judging other people. It would only be a short time before these two finally started hooking up. In fact, Tom may be the only person in the world to give Ryan a run for his money.

Leslie Knope & Andy Bernard

the office x parks and rec - leslie and andy

Leslie Knope is a powerhouse in her department who has hundreds of good ideas and always takes the blame when things go awry. Andy, on the other hand, isn't as business savvy as Leslie is. Andy is weak in sales and not the best boss but Office fans can't deny that he's inspiring.

The driving force behind this relationship would be their political beliefs and love for being silly. Andy comes from a successful, well-off family that could look good for a woman in Leslie's position when running for city council or governor. The only thing that could break these two up would be Andy's inability to have a "normal life." He wanted to be in the spotlight and would probably have a hard time being second best to his partner.

Ron Swanson & Angela Martin

the office x parks and rec - ron and angela

Ron Swanson is a serious macho man who doesn't mind when others do the work for him so he can sit back and do things he actually enjoys doing. Likewise, Angela Martin is a no-nonsense woman who enjoys taking charge and being organized. As serious as these two characters are, they've both had their thoughtful moments.

These two would team up against the rest of the office and Angela would take on her role as girlfriend and co-worker proudly. Just as she took charge in her relationship with the senator (and as leader of the party planning committee), she would take care of all of Ron's responsibilities and assist him in running the office — just as she wanted to do with Dwight.

Donna Meagle & Darryl Philbin

If there was one couple on this list that would make it to the alter, it would be Donna Meagle and Darren Philbin. Both characters enjoy playing the field and keeping their options open, but that doesn't mean they're not loving individuals.

Both are hardworking and caring for their co-workers; they also are proud partners when they are dating someone. Similarly to Kelly and Tom, Donna and Darryl would be inseparable and in a world of their own. They've both had some of the most iconic lines in their own series' ("treat yo self!") and would be a powerful couple to behold.

Jerry Gergich & Phyllis Vance

the office x parks and rec - phyllis and jerry

Jerry Gergich and Phyllis Vance are both bullied in their place of work. Jerry is picked on for just about everything and Michael has no problem talking about Phyllis's past in high school. If Jerry and Phyllis worked in the same office, they would lean on each other for support.

Just as Stanley was Phyllis's best friend, Jerry would come in a close second before developing feelings for him. They would have sweet wine nights, cook for each other, and probably be Santa and Mrs. Claus at the office's holiday party.

Ben Wyatt & Pam Beesly

the office x parks and rec - pam and ben

It's hard to imagine Pam with anyone else but Jim. Likewise, it seems cruel to think of a world where Ben isn't chasing Leslie. However, if Leslie and Jim had their own respective partners, who's to say that Ben and Pam wouldn't go on a few dates?

Both are quiet and sincere. They have different interests but their mutual interest in art could be the driving force behind this couple. Pam does, however, have issues with committing to things but this is something Ben excels in and could be influential to Pam in that way.

Leslie Knope & Michael Scott

the office x parks and rec - leslie and michael

Leslie Knope and Michael Scott both started out incredibly similar. Fans of both sitcoms couldn't help but notice the juxtaposition between characters. Eventually, Leslie became more serious and matured into a different kind of boss than Michael was, but the subtle similarities were still there.

Michael and Leslie would fall for each other's sense of humor. They would have fun in the office and while on adventures but at the end of the day, Leslie would choose her political career over her relationship with Michael, which would break them up. But that doesn't mean they wouldn't have shared a special three months together picking on their employees, going skating, and eating waffles.
