Jim and Pam might be one of the most loved television relationships ever. They are often seen as relationship goals, and many people see their romance as one of the most romantic fictional couples ever. While fans of The Office rooted for these two for many seasons, there are also times when they are rather obnoxious.

The two could be sweet and endearing and even relatable (#CoupleGoals, anyone?), but they weren’t always that way. They definitely had their moments where they were simply insufferable. Here are ten times that Jim and Pam from The Office were insufferable.

WHEN THEY VISITED THE PRESCHOOL

When Pam is pregnant with Cece, the two of them take a tour of a local preschool to try and get on the waiting list. This entire sequence is full of cringe moments as Jim first walks in on the owner using the bathroom. After that, the meeting with the owner doesn't go very well.

Jim and Pam act so shocked at the idea that someone might not like them or find them completely charming. Overall, it just showed that they think really highly of themselves and are not always as great as they think they are.

THE WAY JIM TREATED THE OTHER WOMEN HE DATED

This isn’t something they did as a couple, but it is something that makes one wonder about their relationship and Jim’s character. While Jim had a crush on Pam for years, it doesn’t give him an excuse to treat other women badly. He was pretty rude to Katy and was clearly just using her all along.

Then, when he dated Karen, he broke up with her rather suddenly and unceremoniously. It’s clear that Jim isn’t really that great of a boyfriend, and while he might be better to Pam, it does reflect poorly on him.

BEING TOO WRAPPED UP IN THIS IDEA THEY HAD A FAIRYTALE RELATIONSHIP

One of the most obnoxious things about Jim and Pam show they are really into the idea that they have one of the best relationships ever. They always talk about how they are soulmates and meant to be together.

While at times this can be romantic, they definitely seem to idealize their relationship and feel like they are special for it. This would definitely be really insufferable to have to hear about all the time.

HOW JIM NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT MICHAEL HARASSING PAM

There are many moments on The Office that make viewers cringe, but some of the moments where characters act inappropriately go too far. One thing that makes little sense is how little Jim seems to care about the sexual harassment Pam endures at work.

There are so many comments made about her chest and overall appearance, and even times when Michael tries to engage with her romantically. Instead of sticking up for her or trying to stop this, Jim seems to either ignore it or just laugh it off. Given today's more socially aware environment when it comes to instances of harassment such as this, let's just say that this particular moment did not age well at all.

TRYING TO MAKE EVERYONE FOLLOW CERTAIN RULES WHEN PAM WAS PREGNANT

Jim and Pam often overstep their bounds while at work because they clearly think they are special. When Pam is pregnant with Cece, they ask the entire office to stop doing things like eating certain kinds of food or wearing strong perfume.

This is definitely really weird. The fact that they expect all of their coworkers to follow an entire list of demands because Pam has morning sickness is definitely really entitled of them.

HOW LONG IT TOOK THEM TO START DATING

Pam smiles at Jim as he stands over her desk on The Office

One of the most frustrating things about watching The Office is seeing how long it takes Jim and Pam to finally make things work. First, Pam is too scared to be with Jim and keeps being with Roy when it’s clearly a horrible relationship.

Then, when Pam tries to be with Jim, he refuses to engage and ends up dating Karen for a while. It’s clear that they really just want to be with each other, and they made other people around them hurt because they couldn’t get their act together.

ACTING LIKE THEY WERE BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE AT WORK

There’s no denying that many of the employees of Dunder Mifflin are really bad at their job and overall ridiculous people. While Jim and Pam are more normal than most of them, their attitudes are pretty horrible.

They clearly think they are better than the people they work with and often treat them with disdain. Instead of leaving to find a different job, they stick around but make fun of and resent those they work with.

THEY TOOK PRANKING DWIGHT TOO FAR

The pranks that Jim pulls on Dwight can sometimes be funny, but there are also times when they go too far. Dwight is definitely a jerk a lot and also does some awful things to them, so some of it can be executed.

However, it’s clear that Dwight is rather messed up and easy to manipulate, and they take advantage of this. Pranks that included Dwight doing things like destroying his own phone were just a little too mean-spirited.

MAKING DANNY CORDRAY TELL THEM WHY HE DIDN’T CALL PAM BACK

Timothy Olyphant appearing as Danny Cordray on The Office

One of the hardest to watch moments with Jim and Pam is when they keep badgering Danny Cordray about why he didn’t want to date Pam. Whatever reasons Danny may have had are personal, and the couple's constant attempts to divulge his secrets was anything but charming or quirky.

The fact that they just can’t let it go and have to keep talking to him about it until he tells them is really weird. It’s really unprofessional and just not a normal social interaction. This is one time that these two were really unlikable.

WHEN THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS AWFUL DURING THE FINAL SEASON

The final season of the series was when their relationship started to fall apart. In some ways, this was good because it showed that they actually weren't a perfect couple.

However, the way Jim treated Pam by keeping things from her and then expecting her to go along with whatever he wanted was super frustrating. Pam might have been too stubborn about things at times, but Jim didn't handle things well and treated her pretty poorly.
