One of the things that make The Office so successful as a series is that the entire cast of recurring characters is so entertaining. While the main characters such as Jim, Pam, Michael, and Dwight might be hilarious and engaging, the other employees of Dunder Mifflin are just as interesting. They make the show great to watch as it’s always enjoyable to see what the different characters with their unique, eccentric personalities are going to do. One of the iconic side characters on the show is Kevin Malone. While he does have some positive attributes, he also can be one of the grossest characters in the series.

10. EATING PIGS IN A BLANKET IN GABE’S BED
Kevin Malone is definitely someone who doesn’t understand socially acceptable behavior, and he definitely doesn’t understand boundaries very well either. When the entire office goes to Gabe’s house to watch an episode of Glee, Kevin ignores the fact that it’s not his house and climbs into Gabe’s bed, even going under the blankets.
He then goes ahead with eating some pigs in a blanket. This is definitely really weird behavior and sleeping and eating in someone’s bed without permission is pretty gross.
9. WHEN HE SPILLED THE CHILI ALL OVER THE OFFICE
This is definitely a moment that’s gross and difficult to watch, but to be fair, it’s mostly just a sad accident. Kevin is really excited about bringing his homemade chili into the office, but he then ends up spilling the huge pot all over the carpet.
His attempts to clean up leave the chili smooshed into the carpet as well as all over his clothes. He then tries to scoop the chili up with folders and papers which is completely unsanitary.
8. MAKING A LOT OF HOMOPHOBIC JOKES
Some of the grossest things that Kevin does have to do with weird and unclean behaviors that are socially acceptable or even spread germs around. However, truly one of the worst things about him has to do with his character and how he treats other people. He is one of the most homophobic characters on the show.
He makes many inappropriate comments about Oscar’s sexuality and even makes fun of Andy when he hears a rumor that Andy is gay.
7. WEARING TISSUE BOXES AS SHOES
When the staff of Dunder Mifflin goes to Niagara Falls for Jim and Pam’s wedding, Kevin gets up to some of his grossest behavior. When he leaves his shoes out at the hotel to get them shined, the hotel destroys his shoes because they smell so bad.
So, instead of going out and buying other shoes like one would assume, he instead wears empty tissue boxes as shoes to a wedding. This is really gross and also just weird and socially out of line.
6. TRYING TO GLUE A TURTLE BACK TOGETHER THAT HE RAN OVER
One of the most disgusting opening sequences of The Office is the one where Kevin runs over a turtle. First of all, this is kind of sad as we see the turtle with it’s broken shell. But, what makes this scene truly gross is that Kevin then tries to save the turtle’s life by gluing the shell back together, and, on top of that, he then squishes it again.
This is definitely not something that a healthy, intelligent person would do.
5. THE FACT HE CLEARLY LOOKED AT PORN AT WORK
Kevin is someone that clearly thinks about sex way too much. He seems completely unable to be professional at work when it comes to these topics. In one episode, he races back to his computer when he learns that IT is looking through them all after the news about the smoking printers is leaked.
It’s then implied that he had a lot of inappropriate content on his work computer. This is so unprofessional and also creates a work environment that is rather toxic.
4. WHEN HE ALMOST PUKED EATING BROCCOLI
One thing about watching The Office that’s extremely frustrating is seeing how horribly Michael treats his employees. One of these moments is when he tries to force Kevin to eat broccoli as that’s part of Kevin’s New Year’s Resolution.
While this is also an unacceptable thing for Michael to do, seeing Kevin overreact and start gagging after just taking a bite of the broccoli is really disgusting.
3. WHEN HE PUT HIS DIRTY FEET IN AN ICEBOX
This is the second really gross thing that Kevin does when he’s at Jim and Pam’s wedding. After the wedding and reception, while wearing tissue boxes as shoes the entire time, he goes back to the hotel and sticks his feet into the icebox. This is extremely unsanitary and means that anyone using that ice in the hotel would be eating the germs from his feet.
It’s super gross, and it doesn’t even make sense as he could have just washed his feet in his room’s shower.
2. TRYING TO GET PAM’S BREAST MILK TO COME IN IN FRONT OF HIM
When Pam meets up with her co-workers for a night out at a bar/arcade during her maternity leave, Kevin acts in a predictable but gross way about her body. He acts excited to see her and then makes crying noises in an attempt to get her milk to come in since she’s nursing.
This is really disrespectful and a kind of harassment, and it’s just one of many moments where Kevin harasses the women around him.
1. WHEN HE TALKS ABOUT SEX ALL THE TIME AT WORK
Similarly to the way that Kevin makes many homophobic jokes, he also makes a lot of sexual jokes. While sometimes they are just jokes you shouldn’t say at work, there are also many times where his comments veer into harassment.
On top of that, he just doesn’t seem to be able to stop talking and thinking about these topics like a person should while in a professional environment.
