Due to the large ensemble, there was no lack of couples for fans to ship in The OfficeSome, such as Jim and Pam, stood out above others and made their mark in sitcom history. Others were focused on less, yet they still added something special to the workplace comedy.

However, the established couples on the show aren't the only relationships that could have worked. There are plenty of other dynamics that fans wish were explored further, and could have been just as good, if not better, than the pairings The Office decided to go with. Especially since the cast had amazing chemistry with each other.

Dwight And Andy

Dwight and Andy were both in love with Angela and they were willing to physically fight each other to win her affection. However, they realized during their scuffle that Angela was lying to them both, and they decided that they each deserved better. A friendship ended up blooming between them as they realized they were much more alike than they originally thought.

For one, they were both passionate about music, with the two salesmen spending most of their time in the break room playing the guitar or banjo. They would also be seen singing duets together and supporting each other in their dreams (who could ever forget Dwight's joy when watching Andy's Sweeney Todd performance?). For some fans, they had more chemistry than the other pairings.

Phyllis And Stanley

Phyllis and Stanley were a ship that was easy to get behind. Even though they both ended up married to other people, many viewers thought that they always had feelings for each other, and it's not hard to figure out why.

Stanley despised most of the employees in the office, but he often treated Phyllis better than everyone else. There always seemed to be a tension between the two, and fans theorized that it was because something was going on beneath the surface.

Andy And Kelly

Andy and Kelly both had the tendency to go on about things no one wanted to hear. Almost all the employees were annoyed by them and they did whatever they could to get out of having a conversation.

In fact, everyone in the series would probably be relieved if they got together because they could occupy each other. Several Twitter and Reddit users believe they would be a great couple due to their optimism and outlook on the world.

Their dance battles were also pretty iconic too, providing much comedy and laughter. Although the writers played with the notion briefly in season 6, they chose not to continue down in favor of other storylines.

Oscar And Kevin

Oscar and Kevin were a dynamic duo in The OfficeOscar was one of the only characters who had common sense, and his reactions to everyone's chaos were hilarious. Because Kevin was often one of the ones responsible for much of the disorder, it was especially entertaining to watch him and Oscar play off of each other.

Kevin and Oscar have been mistaken for a couple in the past, and Twitter clearly sees their potential. It's not that far-fetched to think they could become something more since their relationship was quite endearing.

Toby And Angela

It's surprising that the series never even thought to put these two characters together. Fans on Twitter appear conflicted about the possibility, as Dwight and Angela are such a popular ship. But Toby and Angela had incredibly similar personalities and mannerisms.

While Toby might not have shared Angela's obsession with cats, they were both introverted and seemed to get easily fed up with their co-workers. They preferred to keep to themselves and keep quiet. However, it could be likely that the writers didn't choose to put these two together since Angela Kinsey had been married to Paul's brother, Warren, for a long time. Maybe they wanted to keep their personal and professional lives separate?

Kelly And Erin

It didn't take long for Erin and Kelly to become friends after Erin started at Dunder Mifflin. Most of the other characters couldn't stand to be around Kelly, due to her ability to talk their ear off, but Erin was genuinely interested in everything Kelly had to say.

Although Kelly didn't exactly treat Erin the best, there were a few moments where she did show that she cared about the receptionist. This was quite apparent in "Secret Santa" when she comforts Erin over her gifts and in "Christmas Wishes" when she notices how Erin was upset over Andy's relationship with Jessica. The two always seemed to enjoy each other's company the most, and a Reddit thread showed support for Erin and Kelly as a couple.

Jim And Dwight

Jim and Dwight's feud was a fan-favorite aspect of the show. Dwight took the job much too seriously, and Jim didn't take it seriously enough. They acted like they hated each other, but when one would leave, the other would miss him dearly. A fan on Twitter admits that Jim and Pam are cute, but Jim and Dwight could be even cuter.

It also helps that the two actors have such great chemistry, with many of their scenes being improvised or causing many of the other actors to break. If the writers had channeled more of their friendship into the show instead of saving it for the last season or so, this could have been a potential storyline.

Dwight And Michael

Dwight's admiration for Michael was confusing but comedic. Michael wasn't good at his job, or much of anything, but Dwight treated him like a role model.

Although Michael was sometimes annoyed by Dwight's obsession with him, there were plenty of moments throughout the show that proved how much they cared about one another. Since they were sometimes ostracized by the office workers, there were also plenty of hints that indicated they hung out outside of the office. If fans search it up on Twitter, they will see plenty of people believe that Dwight and Michael's relationship could have worked out if the writers had chosen different storylines.

Pam And Karen

The only roadblock in Pam and Karen's relationship was Jim. They probably would have been good friends if they weren't after the same guy, and it's a shame that he got in the way of what could have been a great relationship.

After all, fans got to witness their chemistry in "A Benihana Christmas" when they teamed up against Angela and when they joked around during "Ben Franklin." Even in "Lecture Circuit," fans could see how happy they were to hear about each other's lives. There were plenty of people on Twitter who believed they would have made a great couple.
