As far as couples from The Office are concerned, it’s usually Jim and Pam that are talked about the most, with couples like Michael and Holly and Dwight and Angela getting occasional attention. While Jim and Pam are often seen as couple goals, there is one other couple that has some great moments that don’t get enough love. While Phyllis and Bob Vance might have their own issues and aren’t by no means perfect, they also seem to have a good relationship in many ways.

BOB VANCE WAS ALWAYS HYPING PHYLLIS UP
Phyllis was one of the characters on the show who often wasn’t treated very well by her co-workers or by Michael. Micahel especially was quite rude to her and would make fun of her for things like her weight and her age. On top of that, he also was super mean about her gift to him during the first Christmas party on the show. Thankfully, Bob Vance was always there to lift her up. He was quite positive about her and loved her body and her personality.
THEY FOUND THEIR TRUE LOVE LATE IN LIFE
One of the most adorable and romantic things about this couple is that they show that love doesn’t have to come by a certain age. They are both older and pretty established in their lives when they fall in love, and this is super inspiring. Finding love doesn’t happen the same way and at the same time for everyone, and it’s clear that they really loved each other and made each other’s lives better, which is what love should always do.
WHEN PHYLLIS WAS PROTECTIVE OF BOB’S FULL TITLE
It’s kind of a running joke on the show that Bob Vance always goes by “Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration.” While this entire title seems rather ridiculous, Phyllis is always there to hype him up. When Karen and the other employees from Stamford first transform to Scranton, Phyllis gets rather protective of the fact that Karen doesn’t know how to refer to Bob. While it might be a simple thing, it is cute how she is there to stand up for him even in small ways.
THEY HAD A HEALTHY INTIMATE LIFE
Another thing that’s so great about their relationship is how they seem to have a really healthy intimate life. Phyllis is always talking about her sex life with Bob and how healthy and active it is. Considering that these two aren’t in their 20s, this is great representation and rather positive about how people of all ages can be sexual and enjoy themselves in this way. Plus, it seems like this aspect of their relationship makes them both really happy and that’s something to be celebrated.
WHEN THEY HAD A GREAT TIME TOGETHER AT CASINO NIGHT
The "Casino Night" episode from near the end of the second season is one of the most iconic The Office episodes for many reasons. While it may be best known as the night that Jim confessed his feelings to Pam and they shared their first kiss, it was also a great night for Bob Vance and Phyllis. They were already a couple in this episode, and they were clearly having a great time together gambling, drinking, and whooping it up. Plus, Phyllis ended up winning the mini-fridge even though she didn’t need it.
WHEN PHYLLIS WAS REALLY PROUD TO BE DATING HIM
Phyllis is definitely super proud of the fact that she landed Bob Vance. While he might not seem like the typical catch to most people, she definitely loved him and thought he was handsome and amazing. She was always ready to let people know about their relationship, and she wasn’t shy about it. The openness she had about their relationship and her feelings for him was really cute and definitely something for many couples to aspire to.
THAT TIME THEY DID THE DEED DURING THEIR VALENTINE’S LUNCH
During one Valentine's Day episode, Bob and Phyllis go on a double date for lunch with Jim and Pam. They then disappear to the bathroom for 45 minutes while Jim and Pam wait for them. While this is fairly rude, there’s also something kind of sweet and sexy about the fact that even though they’d been married for a while they still keep the spark alive. When they returned to the table, it’s clear what they had been up to.
WHEN BOB PAID $1,000 AT THE AUCTION TO HUG PHYLLIS
After the Scranton branch gets broken into and robbed, Michael hosts an auction to get their money back. The hot ticket item of the auction ends up being a hug from Phallus. While Dwight bids on the hug to try and show his appreciation to Phyllis, he isn’t able to outbid Bob who ends up paying $1,000 for a hug from his own wife. This ridiculous and endearing moment is definitely a heartwarming one.
WHEN BOB VANCE GOT HER SO MANY VALENTINE’S GIFTS
During Season 2 of The Office, Phyllis has been dating Bob and their relationship is still a bit new. So, it’s clear that he wants to impress her and give her a Valentine’s Day to remember. He ends up sending her multiple gifts, including flowers and a huge teddy bear. Pam isn’t very pleased with this since Roy, a consistently bad boyfriend, doesn’t give her anything at all for Valentine’s Day. It’s clear who is the best boyfriend in this situation, and Phyllis is definitely living her best life.
THEIR WEDDING
One of the most endearing moments between these two is when they tie the knot. Not only are they clearly both really happy to be getting married, they also win by figuring out how to get Michael to give Phyllis an entire six weeks off for her wedding. While they have to endure Michael being in their wedding, the trade-off is definitely worth it, as they get tons of time together for a honeymoon.
