The Masked Singer's upcoming episode will introduce fans to a new group of contestants, including the Lambs, who very well may be a girl group. Last season, fans were shocked when the Cobra contestant turned out to feature more than one performer. The three singers were eliminated ahead of the season 7 finale and were revealed as the 90s girl group En Vogue. They were the first girl group to grace the stage, though Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams competed as a solo artist during season 2. The Mummies were another three-member group to compete this season, and fans were sure it was a boyband. However, The Masked Singer contestants turned out to be The Brady Bunch brothers.

For Muppets night, the Lambs will take the stage for the first time, and there's a good chance there may be another girl group in the costume. Throughout the seasons, the show has featured several musical groups and duos. During season 4, country singers Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black appeared on the series as the Snow Owls. 90s boyband Hanson appeared a season later as Russian Dolls, and during season 6, Katherine McPhee competed with her husband, music producer David Foster, as the Ice Cream Sundae. Fans get most excited about group contestants, especially when one of their favorite music groups is behind The Masked Singer costume. Having a popular girl group in the Lambs costume would be very good for the show. It would bring them a lot of attention and fan praise, like what Harp has been receiving since fans started theorizing Glee actress Amber Riley is behind the costume.

Which Girl Group Could Be Behind The Masked Singer Lambs Costume?

Ahead of The Masked Singer season 8 premiere, the show released a Mask-Ray clue for the Lambs. The clue was a bottle of milk, which matches their costume and should simultaneously hint at the celebrities' identities. It's hard to connect the clue to anyone just yet, but some fans have suggested The Chicks might be behind the costume, and back in the 2000s, the girl group did a Got Milk? Advertisement. Others have speculated that the girl group Haim could be behind the Lambs. A few times on The Masked Singer season 8, the eliminated contestants have matched the theme of the episode. During Vegas night, Vegas ventriloquist Jeff Dunham was unmasked as Pi-Rat. The Brady Bunch brothers and Shark Tank star Daymond John were unmasked during TV night. If Muppets night follows this theme, Haim may be behind the costume as they're set to appear in Sesame Street's upcoming season.

Last season, The Masked Singer fans were pretty disappointed in the contestants for not being as high profile as some of the past stars. However, there were a few stars that they were excited to see, and En Vogue was one. It's very likely the show would put another girl group on to make fans happy. Former boy banders have been very popular on the series, with NSYNC members Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick competing, 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey winning season 5, and New Kids On The Block singer Donnie Wahlberg shocking his wife, Jenny McCarthy, by appearing as Cluedle Doo during The Masked Singer season 5. Former girl group members have not been as popular, so including En Vogue last season was exciting, and having another girl group would bring more joy to fans.

However, there's always a chance The Masked Singer fans are wrong with their early guesses. After all, the Mummies turned out not to be a boyband. Like The Brady Bunch stars, Lambs could be a group of female costars from a popular tv series. They could also be fellow Muppets, like during season 5 when Kermit the Frog was revealed as Snail. That would certainly fit the night's theme and shock guest panelist Miss Piggy. Though a girl group seems the most realistic, and it's what fans would love to see. There've been so many successful groups throughout the years, so it's hard to pinpoint who could be behind the costume. Though whoever it is, fans cannot wait to see them perform during Muppet night.
