Warning! This article contains spoilers for The Mandalorian season 3, episode 1.

The Mandalorian season 3’s next episodes trailer reveals a lot more about this season’s story than the premiere itself. A relatively self-contained return to The Mandalorian’s world, “The Apostate” served to reintroduce characters and plotlines that are sure to be important for Mando (Pedro Pascal)’s upcoming journey. Still, other than Mando’s conversations with the Armorer (Emily Swallow), High Magistrate Greef Karga (Carl Weathers), and Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), The Mandalorian season 3’s premiere preferred not to jump right into the most awaited moments.

Now, Disney+ has released a “coming next” The Mandalorian season 3 trailer, which features a lot of action and reveals some big events that are yet to happen.

The Mandalorian season 3’s “The Way” trailer shows, among other things, the return of the pirates teased in the premiere; the starting point of many Star Wars adventures, Tatooine; the caves of Mandalore mentioned by Bo-Katan; and Grogu briefly piloting the Naboo N-1 starfighter. The latest The Mandalorian season 3 trailer also teases a dogfight between Mando’s N-1 and some TIE fighters.

What Is Next For Din Djarin & Grogu In The Mandalorian Season 3

Mando’s main quest in The Mandalorian season 3 has been clear since The Book of Boba Fett. Din Djarin has to go to Mandalore and bathe in the Living Waters in order to be redeemed and return to his creed. However, The Mandalorian season 3, episode 1, shows that a trip to a presumably doomed planet is not the only danger Mando and Grogu will have to face. The Pirate King Gorian Shard, for example, now wants revenge on the Mandalorian for interfering in his business on Nevarro.

The Mandalorian’s new episodes trailer suggests that it won’t take long before Mando and Grogu reach Mandalore, which could be a concern given that the hit Star Wars TV show can sometimes deviate from the main story as Mando embarks on side quests. It is clear by the trailer, though, that Mando will stop by Tatooine at some point, either before or after he arrives on Mandalore. In addition, the possibility of Mando arriving on Mandalore but still failing in finding his redemption cannot be ruled out.

The Mandalorian season 3 also appears to be setting up a Mandalorian civil war, which would surely put Din Djarin in a difficult situation. Mando currently wields the Darksaber, meaning that by Mandalorian traditions, he is supposed to lead all of his people. With the planet Mandalore said to be uninhabitable, which may or not be an Imperial fabrication, and different Mandalorian clans spread across the galaxy, Din Djarin’s mission will not be easy.
