Few characters have completely won over the internet, and the Star Wars fanbase at large, in quite the way that The Mandalorian's Baby Yoda has. Officially known so far as The Child, this pint-sized Force user has won hearts all over the world, leading to endless memes, fan-made songs and products, and a rabid desire for any and all merchandise, as soon as possible.

Though we still don't know much about the baby himself, season one certainly proved one thing: Baby Yoda just might be the galaxy's cutest creature. Here, we take a look back at The Child's ten cutest moments in the first season - though really, this list could have been endless.

Baby Yoda drinks his soup

One of the first Baby Yoda moments to launch thousands of memes, Baby Yoda drinking his cup of bone broth is absolutely one of the adorable little alien's cutest moments yet.

Despite being told by The Mandalorian to stay behind, and entrusted into the watch of the server, Baby Yoda soon wanders off in search of his caretaker, and brings his snack for the trip. The way he interrupts Mando and Cara mid-fight, with his adorable loud slurping and innocent expression, is simply too cute for words.

Baby Yoda plays hide and seek

Baby Yoda might just be a baby despite his 50 years of age, but that doesn't mean that he's unaware of what he needs to do to keep himself safe. In the first season's fifth episode, the baby is left in the care of Peli Motto as Mando heads off on a hunt with Toro Calican.

But when things quickly start to head south, Baby Yoda does what he needs to do and hides out from the bad guys, making for an adorable game of high stakes hide and seek when Peli goes looking for him.

Baby Yoda stargazes

Since Baby Yoda is just a baby, after all, it's entirely natural that he would be just as curious as any regular baby would be. That's what makes this brief moment in the series' fourth episode so completely adorable.

As the baby, The Mandalorian, and Cara embark on their journey, Baby Yoda lies back on the blankets and stares up at the stars. The wonder and excitement in his eyes reveal a baby that is eager to learn more about the world around him, and perhaps even just as curious as we are about the world he comes from.

Baby Yoda wakes up and is confused

When Baby Yoda is left in the care of Amy Sedaris' Peli Motto in episode five, he just so happens to be a very sleepy baby who doesn't know where he is. So when he wakes up, he immediately wanders and wobbles his way out of the ship, looking for his father and looking very, very confused, sleepy, and adorable.

His eyes are wider than ever and his long ears are floppy and sad, and we've quite possibly never wanted to hug him more than we did at that moment.

Baby Yoda thinks he blew up a droid

Though Baby Yoda may be one of the galaxy's tiniest heroes, he also just so happens to be one of its strongest, too, based on what we've seen so far. But in the first season's sixth episode, the baby has a moment where he wonders if he's even stronger than he realized.

After being cornered by a fearsome droid foe, Baby Yoda raises his hand and prepares to use the Force against him. When the droid explodes, he can't believe his eyes, staring at his hand in bewilderment, before realizing Mando had come in to save the day after all.

Baby Yoda eavesdrops upside down

If The Mandalorian's first season taught us something about Baby Yoda, it's that he loves to get himself into mischief and trouble whenever he can. In the series' seventh episode, Baby Yoda finds himself in a precarious position when curiosity gets the better of him yet again.

As Mando and Cara discuss the weapons that he has on hand, Baby Yoda soon emerges from the rafters of the ship above them, hanging upside down and tilting his head from side to side as he eavesdrops on their planning.

Baby Yoda laughs while IG-11 kills Stormtroopers

Baby Yoda is truly gifted at finding the bright side in every situation, even when that situation involves him in serious danger. After being rescued from the two Stormtroopers by IG-11 at the start of the first season finale, Baby Yoda finds himself zooming through space while attached to the droid's body in a knapsack.

As IG mercilessly kills one Stormtrooper after another, Baby Yoda gleefully laughs and looks all around as they fly, his adorable eyes bright and his long ears flapping in the wind.

Baby Yoda wants Mando to pick him up

After everything Baby Yoda goes through in the first season finale, how could you possibly blame him for wanting a little TLC? As The Mandalorian prepares to part ways with Greef and Cara, Baby Yoda waddles over to his father and gently hugs his leg, looking up at him with wide eyes. Once Mando looks down at him, Baby Yoda acts in typical baby fashion and reaches up toward him, further signifying his need to be picked up and snuggled. And who could resist that face?

Baby Yoda does the magic hand thing

Baby Yoda has plenty of powers, as the first season reveals, but he also manages to have quite the powerful sense of humor, too. In one of the finale's more tense moments, Greef Karga desperately turns to Mando and implores him to have the baby "do the magic hand thing."

When confusion results, Greef further clarifies, waving his hand in the way that the baby typically does when using the Force. And while Baby Yoda may not completely get the message, he certainly tries his best, squealing and enthusiastically waving his little hand back at him.

Baby Yoda pushes Mando's buttons

Few things are more adorable than little kids doing what they know they're not supposed to be doing. The combination of mischief and pint-sized cuteness is always guaranteed to bring on the laughs and awws, and with Baby Yoda, that's definitely the case, too.

In the fourth episode, Baby Yoda starts off amusing himself by fiddling with the controls on Mando's ship. And despite Mando repeatedly telling him not to press anything, Baby Yoda doubles down, staring defiantly and mischievously at his dad and pressing another button, which causes even more trouble. We can't even be mad at him though. Just look at that face.
