Before the finale of The Mandalorian, there had been multiple twists throughout the second season. Boba Fett and Fennec Shand came back from the dead, Ahsoka Tano revealed The Child was actually named Grogu, and Tusken Raiders turned out to be much nicer than everybody initially thought. But the biggest came when Luke Skywalker appeared, cutting down Dark Troopers much like father Darth Vader in Rogue One.

He's now taken Grogu with him to provide some training, and that opens up countless opportunities. But who else could be impacted by the appearance of this famous Jedi Knight? Here are just a few examples...

Grogu

Grogu with Din Djarin and Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian.

It's apparent that Luke is going to train Grogu but it would be interesting to see how that would unfold. He hasn't got the best track record, of course, with Ben Solo turning to the dark side and Rey going against his advice during the events of The Last Jedi. While The Child is cute to look at, there have been hints that he could be tricky to train.

Ahsoka hinted at this when she engaged him, sensing much anger, fear, and attachment within him. It's not surprising given how Din Djarin saved his life and protected him from the Empire after all. But Luke didn't use to be the reclusive he was during the eighth installment of the Skywalker saga, so there's every chance he will do a successful job this time around.

Ahsoka Tano

Luke Skywalker Star wars the last jedi Ahsoka Tano

Speaking of Ahsoka, she's getting her own TV series on Disney+. However, that doesn't mean her time in The Mandalorian is necessarily over despite her absence in the finale.

She learned from Anakin Skywalker so the prospect of crossing paths with Luke, specifically this version, is pretty tantalizing - especially if the Empire crank things up a notch in retaliation. The entire gang could all reunite at a future date due to the fact they remain alive and the threat level will only grow because of the emergence of the First Order. They could even work together to train the Jedi, given their connection with the force, especially if plans to extend the Star Wars universe during this time period grow.

Din Djarin

Another aspect fans would be intrigued about was how Din Djarin could cope without The Child. He was so emotional in saying goodbye he even took off his mask, something he has been against during the sixteen episodes so far. It's possible that while Luke did the right thing by saving them, his actions will lead Mando down a different path.

Chasing bounties might seem dull and the series protagonist doesn't seem the sort to enjoy retirement just yet, so most people are expecting him to get Grogu back at some point - even if that goes against the theories about Kylo Ren that have been doing the rounds...

Kylo Ren

Some believe that Grogu's time with Luke may actually be ended by Kylo Ren himself. After all, The Child was nowhere to be seen during the events of the sequel trilogy, which hints that they might no longer be around. Ben Solo always came across as somebody in big need of attention, leading to the suggestion that he might become jealous.

Maybe that's what Luke sensed in him that night he uncharacteristically tapped into the dark side. Grogu is meant to be extremely powerful and it's easy to see why Ben would have a problem with this. Details about his transformation into Kylo Ren remain vague to this day - so some more information would help flesh out the story more.

Leia Organa

Star Wars Luke Leia Deaged

While highly ambitious, the appearance of Luke again means a full-on series involving himself and Grogu can't be ruled out. If Ben Solo could be involved again then the same can be said for Leia Organa, even if it would involve CGI and the consent of Carrie Fisher's family.

Leia always felt affection towards her son, and vice versa, yet never really elaborated on why he left years ago. A Luke and Grogu TV show could shed some light on the matter, especially if they go down the jealousy route. They used a combination of CGI and Billie Lourd for The Rise of Skywalker and also had a younger version of the character in Rogue One.

Supreme Leader Snoke

Snoke Luke

The clamor for a series about Luke Skywalker really is strong. He was the poster boy of Star Wars when A New Hope was released in 1977, and was loved by millions when The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi came out in the six years that followed. So if a TV series about Mark Hamill's character is announced at some point, despite the multiple technological obstacles that stand in the way, fans would want to see him up against a significant threat.

So who better than Supreme Leader Snoke? Some would argue he was killed ahead of schedule and mysteries over him linger. He and Luke knew each other, so a battle would be epic. Especially now everyone knows Emperor Palpatine was behind the existence of the villain this whole time, albeit in a mysterious capacity...

Bo Katan

The Mandalorian Finale Bo Katan Kryze

Bo Katan appeared to be pretty angry when Mando took the Darksaber from Moff Gideon, knowing she has to better him in combat to obtain the object she craves. Luke has pledged to protect The Child. But, because of Grogu's fondness of Din Djarin, it's possible he could sense whenever his guardian is in danger. Katan doesn't seem the sort of character to just let things go, after all.

If that happens, Grogu could do what Luke did in Empire by leaving his training to come to the aid of somebody he loves. George Lucas always said Star Wars was like poetry, so parallels could continue to be made.

Cal Kestis

Cal Kestis with a cyan lightsaber

Before the release of the finale, there was speculation that Cal Kestis could make an appearance. While his story in Star Wars: Fallen Order was set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, the fact he wasn't among the voices of the past who spoke to Rey in The Rise of Skywalker suggests he might still be alive. And older, of course.

It seems like Luke can sense other Jedi, so he could cross paths with an older version of Cal. They could exchange wisdom and even work in tandem with each other due to the fact precious little is known about the time period The Mandalorian is set in. It's all there to be explored, meaning nothing is off the table.

Boba Fett

Boba FEtt Slave 1 the Mandalorian

Boba Fett isn't the biggest fan of the Jedi because of how father Jango Fett was ruthlessly beheaded by Mace Windu in Attack of the Clones. Therefore, had he been part of the crew to storm Moff Gideon's light cruiser, he would have probably been the only person unhappy to see Luke appear. Given how confident he is, he may have even relished a showdown with the Dark Troopers.

Boba has his own series releasing in 2021, but future appearances in The Mandalorian can't be ruled out either. He could go after Luke to settle old scores, especially after Mark Hamill's character played a role in him being eaten by the Sarlaac in Return of the Jedi. Word might reach his ears - and he's not the sort to let the past die...

Moff Gideon

Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian

Moff Gideon is currently imprisoned, having been prevented from shooting himself towards the end of the final episode. While there is a reason to think he won't appear for some time, the fact Disney has A-lister, Giancarlo Esposito, onboard means he might not be out of the picture. The Empire will want their man back.

Should he get to keep his job, Gideon could pursue The Child to get more blood samples. That would mean Luke having to live up to his words about protecting Grogu, making for a fascinating battle. While Esposito's character appeared good enough with the Darksaber, fans can't see him causing such a powerful Jedi Knight too many problems...
