Screen Rant is thrilled to present an exclusive first look at the trailer for The Leech, a new Christmas horror film from writer-director Eric Pennycoff. Coming to Blu-ray and streaming on ARROW Player in December, the frightfully festive film had its world premiere at the Chattanooga Film Festival on June 23 and has been successfully making its way through horror crowds ever since.

The Leech follows Father David (Graham Skipper, Sequence Break), a Catholic priest whose church has been somewhat empty as of late, as he allows a homeless man named Terry (Jeremy Gardner, After Midnight) to stay in his home and avoid the winter cold. It doesn't stop at just Terry, however, and soon his pregnant girlfriend Lexi (Taylor Gardner, who also starred in Pennycoff's Sadistic Intentions) comes to stay as well. While David begins by trying to provide them with salvation and Christian kindness, the limits of his patience and sanity are eventually tested beyond belief thanks to their wickedness.

Pennyoff introduces the above first look at The Leech, highlighting how much of the passion project he had control over. Skipper's Father David then comes onto the scene, presenting his life's motto as serving God's love and rescuing his lost children. Though he feels confident Terry and Lexi are just two more lambs he must shepherd back to the flock, it's quickly clear that he cannot handle their behavior as it gets more and more disordered and even violent.

The Leech's key art focuses on a bright green axe that adorns a blood-red surface, perfectly encapsulating both the Christmas spirit and hinting at the horror to come. The gift tag that reads "Never have I ever" also calls back to the playful yet predatory tone of the trailer and the guests who overstay their welcome.

ARROW, meanwhile, serves as home to occult cinema and is available in the US, Canada, the UK, and Ireland on various platforms such as all Roku sticks and boxes, as well as on Apple TV & iOS devices, Samsung TVs, Android TV, mobile devices, Fire TV and all Amazon Fire TV Sticks.
