In 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe kicked off with the introduction of Iron Man to the big screen. Tony Stark ushered in a new era for comic book adaptations on the books screen. His stories are in the science fiction side of superhero properties, however, as he uses his scientific and technological know-how to create his super suit. As such, he likely wouldn't put much stock in the signs provided to us by the zodiac.

Even so, Marvel fans who do love their zodiac signs would be able to learn a lot from the characters in the Iron Man trilogy of movies. There's at least one character who lines up perfectly with every sign.

Aries: Harley Keener

Though Tony Stark has a lot of impulsive tendencies, there is someone more willing to jump into a fight than him in the Iron Man trilogy. That would be Harley Keener, who makes his MCU debut in Iron Man 3. He's a budding Tony Stark in the making with his aptitude for computers and his understanding of Tony's tech babble. He's also a perfect Aries.

That tendency to impulsively jump into situations is all Aries. They often act before thinking, like throwing snowballs at professional hitmen to help out a friend or taking a potato gun to use on a possible intruder in their shed. When Aries believe in something (or someone), they do it with their whole heart, which is why they're so willing to jump to the defense of a person or idea, just as Harley does for Tony repeatedly.

Taurus: Happy Hogan

Happy plays a lot of roles in the Iron Man movies. Sometimes, he's Tony's driver. Other times, he's a bodyguard or an assistant. He is always, however, a friend to Tony and Pepper, stepping in whenever either of them needs him, even if that means making an appearance in someone else's movie, like Spider-Man, to help them out.

That loyalty and dependability are very much in line with the Taurus. While Taurans can be stubborn, that's because they're creatures of habit who don't like to have their world turned upside down. Happy might get a little stressed in the fast-paced life of Tony Stark, but he never lets that stop him.

Gemini: Tony Stark

Tony Stark is, arguably, one of the most intelligent people in the MCU. Beyond his ability to digest complicated scientific information, he's also got a quick wit and is able to formulate a plan faster than most people can even understand what's going on around them. He's also one of the most popular Geminis in the MCU.

Geminis are known for their quick wit and sociable behavior. They also, however, are known for their ability to adapt. Quick thinkers who can change their course in an instant, Geminis are able to find their way out of the most impossible of situations.

Cancer: Phil Coulson

Phil Coulson might be best known these days for taking the lead of the agency in Agents Of SHIELD. The character first appeared, however, in Iron Man as a government agent just trying to do his job. The bulk of Coulson's personality - his love of history, superheroes, and underdogs - comes to the screen in later projects.

Cancers are deeply feeling individuals. They have a reputation for being sensitive, but they're very empathetic. They connect quickly with new friends, bonding under unusual circumstances. Coulson is incredibly adept at that, counting Tony Stark and Pepper Potts among his friends when he was originally an annoying man in a suit to them.

Leo: Justin Hammer

A former classmate of Tony's Justin Hammer appears in the trilogy as the initial antagonist in Iron Man 2. It's Hammer's plan to co-opt the Iron Man technology because he wants to be the most successful in weapons manufacturing.

Hammer's ambition might make some fans see him as a Capricorn, but much of Hammer's plans are built on his appearance and sense of showmanship. He doesn't just want to be successful; Hammer wants to be on stage. As any Leo can tell you, they thrive on the spotlight. Hammer is the life of the party when he's having a good time, and when he's not, he decides to become the bad guy.

Virgo: Obadiah Stane

Obadiah Stane is an old family friend of the Starks. He helps build Stark Industries with Tony, and Howard Stark before him. While the Starks are the men with big ideas, Obadiah is the man with the plans.

That's why he's a Virgo. Obadiah has what he thinks is a foolproof plan to take over the company for himself. He gets a group of criminals to go after Tony and keep him busy. Then, he turns the board of directors against Tony as well. Unfortunately, the one part that Obadiah's plan doesn't account for is Tony turning into a superhero.

Libra: James Rhodes

Long-time best friend to Tony Stark, James "Rhodey" Rhodes has to put up with a lot of shenanigans over the years. He spends as much time being amused by Tony as he does being exasperated by him. There is, however, one thing more important to him than his friendship with Tony, and that's justice.

Rhodey's need to keep the scales balanced and to make sure the bad guys end up where they can't hurt anyone else is the nature of a Libra. Libras are natural leaders, charismatic, and able to diplomatically diffuse situations. That's why Rhodey frequently finds himself in the middle of the government and his superhero friends.

Scorpio: Natasha Romanoff

When Natasha Romanoff joins the MCU, it's as Natalie Rushman, a supposed employee for Stark Industries. Undercover in the legal department of the company for SHIELD, she's tasked with shadowing Tony by Nick Fury. Scorpios are one of the signs built for being a spy, just like Natasha.

Excellent at keeping secrets, Scorpios play their cards close to the vest, not letting people know their true feelings right away. They are determined people who go after what they want, and they tend to have high emotional intelligence, able to figure out what the people around them want easily.

Sagittarius: Aldrich Killian

The man behind the fake Mandarin for the MCU, Aldrich Killian is an admirer of Tony Stark's who starts his own think tank in the '90s. Originally, Killian is an optimist who wants to change the world. He wants to gather as much knowledge as possible to do it, trying to find creative solutions for the world's problems.

That optimism and love of knowledge is right up the alley of a Sagittarius. When Killian becomes disillusioned with Stark, he still pursues that knowledge and change, but his desires for using it become twisted.

Capricorn: Pepper Potts

Beginning her journey in the MCU as Tony's assistant, Pepper Potts ends up running his company more efficiently than he does. She becomes the CEO thanks to her incredible attention to detail and her hard work at his side when he thinks he's not long for this world. Pepper might not always appear ambitious, but she doesn't turn down the job.

Pepper's work ethic and her sense of duty to Tony is right out of the Capricorn playbook. She doesn't hold back her judgments of his mistakes either, reminding Tony exactly how she would do things in his place on a regular basis.

Aquarius: Christine Everhart

Christine Everhart holds out a recorder to Tony Stark to wait for his response in Iron Man

The journalist who spends a night with Tony after interviewing him in the first movie goes on to become a reporter for WHiH news, the major network of the MCU. She's someone who blazes her own trail, always after the truth, and who is deeply distrustful of people with powerful weapons, and by extension, superheroes.

Amongst the zodiac, Aquarius is the rebel sign. They are the people who go their own way to make a mark on the world. They also tend to be humanitarians, focused on doing the most good. While Christine sees superheroes as destructive, she still wants people to be kept safe, like a true Aquarius.

Pisces: Maya Hansen

Though Tony calls her a botanist, Maya Hansen's work extends far beyond plants. She's the architect of the extremis serum. Maya initially wants to find a way to heal people with serious injuries or missing limbs and her imagination is her only limit as she starts working out the problems.

Maya's Pisces creativity and compassion gets sidelined when Killian funds her research. She's a visionary who gets caught up in a villain's schemes when she just wants to help people.
