Peter Jackson's The Hobbit is one of the most anticipated films of 2012, and it definitely has a major presence at the 2012 Comic-Con. Walking the convention floor, it's impossible not to notice the impressive array of 3D posters, collectible figurines crafted with intricate detail - and some (literally) larger than life sculpts of the fantastic creatures from the world of J.R.R. Tolkien, such as the fearsome Stone Trolls.
In honor of Middle-Earth's importance to geeks everywhere, our own Paul Young went out an shot as much Hobbit as he could. We've compiled the images in a hefty gallery. Scroll down to see it.

All of the major players are represented, including the entire troupe of dwarf warriors that will accompany a young(er) Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) to confront the dread dragon Smaug. The pictures don't do them full justice, but trust us when we tell you - the 3D posters are stunning to see in real life. No word yet on WHEN they will go on sale, but if you're a true Hobbit fan, you'll want to keep an eye out.
