At the start of her latest episode, Whitney announced that she is seven weeks pregnant but is terrified that she will experience another unhealthy pregnancy. The fashion designer began her latest YouTube video explaining that along with her two prior miscarriages, she had also had a chemical pregnancy. The star said, "I'm currently seven weeks pregnant, which is supposed to be obviously really exciting, and it has been up until yesterday. The Hills star explained that after a visit to the doctor, things were not looking as they should at seven weeks. She told viewers, "this is likely another unhealthy pregnancy." During the vulnerable video, Whitney and her husband shed tears and opened up about their pain to their audience. The star of The Hills said she did not want to hide this and continue on with her videos as if nothing was wrong, especially because this gives an opportunity to connect with other women who are going through the same thing.

The star admitted she is scared for herself, her confidence, and her self-worth. However, she wanted to open the space up for others in similar situations to express their emotions and feel heard and understood. Whitney stated, "This is a place where if anybody is going through this, that they can talk about it." The couple finished the announcement by assuring viewers that they are so grateful for their beautiful daughter, Sonny, and for each other. The video then took a turn for the better as the couple gave an update that their doctor found an embryo and a heartbeat. They asked viewers to "keep your fingers crossed."

The married couple is not alone in their situation. So many women around the world endure the same issues and emotional pain surrounding pregnancy. Coming out and speaking about such a personal issue publicly was a courageous and vulnerable thing for Whitney and Tim to do and the video hopefully allows so many women to feel heard and less alone. The best of luck to Whitney and Tim, as all The Hills fans will surely be keeping their fingers crossed just as the couple requested.
