The Hills star Lauren Conrad admits she can no longer watch reality TV after spending three years living her life in front of the cameras. The 35-year-old reality star turned fashion designer was introduced to the world when she was cast in Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, which documented her and her friends' lives in their hometown when they were just 18 years old. Lauren later moved to Los Angeles to follow her dreams of becoming a force of nature in the fashion industry. The move sparked her spin-off series The Hills, which aired on MTV for six seasons from 2006-2009. During the production, Lauren was able to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and worked for Teen Vogue, as well as Kelly Cutrone's public relations firm.

Just as the fourth season of The Hills started to wrap up in December 2008, Lauren told producers that she wanted to leave the series in order to pursue other career opportunities. However, since the show revolved her, producers convinced her to film one last season so they could refocus viewers attentions to other cast members. Lauren made her final appearance on the series in May 2009 by attending cast members Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt's wedding. The cameo made a strong and lasting impact as the real reason behind Lauren's departure from the show came from a long and intense fight between herself and the newly wed couple. Since then, Lauren updated her resume from reality star to entrepreneur, creating an online store called The Little Market which distributes handmade pieces from women of different cultural backgrounds.

As Season 2 of The Hills reboot wrapped up on MTV, Lauren told Entertainment Tonight that she "honestly haven't seen it." That said, Lauren is still giving the cast including original members Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Justin Bobby, Heidi and Spencer her blessing saying, "I think it's great. I'm glad that they were able to do it again. I actually don't watch any reality television. It's a little triggering for me!" Cast members who star in the rebooted series who are still friends with Lauren, like Frankie Delgado, has previously said she decided to not participate in the show because she's moved on to bigger and better things.

Lauren is now focusing all of her attention on her family and companies. "What's really exciting right now is my younger son, who's about to turn 2, is really kind of becoming a little person," Lauren said. "And up until this point, he's just kind of been baby brother, but now I'm watching my sons develop a friendship and they're wild!" Lauren continued to explain that while her house is constantly noisy and messy with her two boys running around the house, she's just grateful to have her husband William Tell. "I'm lucky," she said. "I have an incredible partner. He's very supportive."

While it's totally understandable that Lauren would want to avoid her past and move on to more productive things in life, it's interesting to learn she was never even the slightest bit curious to see if The Hills reboot was any good. In this past season, Kristin Cavallari even came back for a cameo and the cast and viewers alike were beyond ecstatic. That said, they do say leave the past in the past, and it seems like Lauren is doing just that.
