NBC's critically acclaimed show, The Good Place, recently concluded its four-season run on 30th January 2020. The Good Place was perhaps one of the cleverest shows of its time, with its hilarious jokes and genius twists. The show is also well-known for its ensemble cast, which includes renowned actors such as Ted Danson and Kristen Bell.

The show had a wide variety of guest stars as recurring characters, in the form of demons, humans and immortal beings who eat burritos. While the finale served as a perfect ending to a great show, viewers got to see some of their favorite guest stars return one last time.

Maya Rudolph as The Judge

Veteran actress Maya Rudolph, of Saturday Night Live fame, plays the hilarious Bloodline-watching, burrito-eating eternal Judge Of All Things. First introduced in the season 2 episode, "The Burrito," The Judge is the supreme authority in charge of the points system that determines how people are selected to go to the Good Place.

The Judge is the closest thing the show has to a literal God, and Maya Rudolph plays the part perfectly. She's hilarious yet somehow as relatable as an immortal, all-powerful being can be. She has been in successful movies such as Grown Ups and its sequel, as well as Big Hero 6.

Jason Mantzoukas as Derek

Derek wearing a suit in The Good Place

Jason Mantzoukas, perhaps most famous for playing Nuclear Nadal in The Dictatorplays the unhinged, often dysfunctional being known simply as Derek. After Eleanor tries to give Janet some advice on how to move on from a breakup, Janet ends up creating a rebound boyfriend of her own, in the form of Derek.

Jason Mantzoukas is also well-known for playing other comedic roles in television such as Detective Adrian Pimento in Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Jay Bilzerian in Netflix's Big MouthHe almost always plays wacky characters, so playing an immortal rebound not-a-robot must've been a piece of cake.

Maribeth Monroe as Mindy St. Clair

Maribeth Monroe has been another series regular on The Good Place. She plays Mindy St. Clair, the only resident of The Medium Place, a realm for the morally mediocre humans of Earth, made especially for her. Mindy is a pretty weird character, especially since her hobbies include gardening naked, cocaine, and masturbating (sometimes to sex tapes of Eleanor and Chidi).

Maribeth Monroe plays the part of the horny and coke-addicted Mindy St. Clair to perfection, with infectious charm and enthusiasm. She is best known for playing Alice Murphy on the Comedy Central show, WorkaholicsShe has also appeared in movies such as Downsizing and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

Marc Evan Jackson as Shawn

Marc Evan Jackson plays Shawn, the evil, immortal demon. First seen impersonating the Judge in season 1, Shawn is a nefarious Bad Place upper manager. He has constantly made the lives (afterlives?) of Team Cockroach miserable, hunting them down to take them back to the Bad Place.

Marc Evan Jackson is also well-known for playing characters in other NBC TV shows, such as Kevin Cozner in Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Trevor Nelsson in Parks and RecreationHe has also played Dr. Murphy in 22 Jump Street. Marc is a veteran actor with cameos in many shows such as Arrested Development and Modern Family.

Tiya Sircar as Vicky

Tiya Sircar plays the disgruntled, creatively frustrated demon known as Vicky. She was initially sent to Michael's pretend Good Place neighborhood to torture Chidi and Eleanor by posing as the "real" Eleanor. She later also impersonates Michael by wearing a "Michael suit." Vicky thinks of herself as very creative but is very vain. This leads her to absurd character choices like sporting a limp to stand out to Chidi (which makes no sense since residents of The Good Place can't get injured).

Tiya has appeared in other TV shows such as Aziz Ansari's Emmy Award-winning Netflix comedy, Master of None and most recently, voicing Dolphin in Young Justice: Outsiders.

Adam Scott as Trevor

First appearing in season 1, Adam Scott plays Trevor, a demon. Trevor was recruited by Michael as an actor to torture Eleanor in his neighborhood. According to Michael, Trevor is a diabolical, sadistic agent of evil and might just be the single most dangerous creature in the universe.

Adam Scott is most famous for playing Ben Wyatt in Parks and Recreation for which he was nominated for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series in 2013. He has also appeared in Big Little Lies and the Fox show, Ghosted, where he also serves as Executive Producer.

Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Simone

Simone is one of the humans who were selected as part of the new experiment to evaluate the new points system to get into the Good Place. She was a fellow professor at St. John's University, along with Chidi. She is also Chidi's ex-girlfriend, hence why she was sent to torture Chidi. In the beginning, she has trouble being a good person, as she believes everything that is happening is some hallucination created by her dying brain. She later comes around, thanks to Chidi.

Besides being praised for her performance in The Good Place, Kirby also has a recurring role in the Emmy-nominated TV series, Barryas Sasha Baxter, and as Taylor Harding in the miniseries, Why Women Kill.

Ben Koldyke as Brent

Ben Koldyke plays the hilariously vain and instantly unlikable Brent. He is yet another human selected for the experiment. Shawn knew he would pose the biggest problem for Michael and Eleanor, as he was a supremely narcissistic person, and Shawn was right. While all the other humans showed they were capable of improving, Brent actually became worse than when they had started off.

Ben Koldyke is perhaps most famous for his role as Don in the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother, a love interest of Robin's. He's also a series regular on Masters of Sex as Paul Edley.

Eugene Cordero as Pillboi

Pillboi, Jason's best friend from Florida, is certainly one of the weirdest characters to appear in The Good Place, and this is a show that takes place in the afterlife! Darkly enough, Pillboi was actually responsible (some would argue directly) for Jason's death, as he had partnered with him to steal some cash from a shop, but Jason, unfortunately, suffocated from being locked in the safe.

Eugene Cordero has been in movies such as Kong: Skull Island and The Kings of Summer. Besides being a regular on The Good Place, he also starred in the short-lived Yahoo! Screen series, Other Space, before the streaming service was shut down.

Rebecca Hazlewood as Kamilah Al-Jamil

Rebecca Hazlewood portrays Kamila Al-Jamil, Tahani's seemingly perfect older sister, in the show. Shown as always one-upping Tahani in every way, Kamila has a rough history with her sister. To make things worse, Tahani and Kamila's parents were always spiteful toward Tahani and showed support only for Kamila, which further alienated the sisters.

Rebecca Hazlewood has had guest roles on other hit shows, aside from The Good Place, such as Lost and Grey's AnatomyShe has also starred in Bad Girls, a popular British drama.
