The Flash has brought some of the most popular DC characters to the small screen since its first season in 2013. From the popular Rogues gallery to characters in Flash lore, even the pickiest of fans can enjoy the characters, nods, and easter eggs the show brings in every season. Unfortunately, not every character lives up to expectations.

This disappointment could be due to the character's inaccuracies with the comic counterpart, their development, or even the actor themselves. With that in mind, here are five TV or comic characters that deserve a cameo in The Flash's upcoming season, along with five characters that can be left alone.

Love:  Tornado Twins

The kids of Barry Allen, Don and Dawn Allen inherited their dad's powers and work towards saving the world as a brother/sister duo. They are very well respected in the future and obviously greatly loved by Barry and Iris.

Like Nora on The CW's The Flash, the twins have traveled back to help and learn from their father during his own reign as the Flash. It would be fun to see Barry meet his kid(s) and see how they've grown up to be heroes just like him. Even if they're not regulars, it would be fun to see The Flash fighting crime with his adult kids once again.

Do Without: Nora West-Allen

The quirky Nora quickly turns into a disaster and headache for the Flash team and the show's fans alike, with many finding her annoying. Whether it was because she acted a lot younger than she was or the fact the Flash had to constantly clean up her messes, Nora wasn't well-received.

Add in the fact she changed the course of Barry's future, messed with a timeline over 52 times and betrayed her family just to spite her father, Nora wasn't a very helpful addition to the team.

Love: Max Mercury

Max Mercury gravitates to the air in the Flash comics

Like Jay Garrick serves as a mentor to Barry, the seasoned speedster Max Mercury has served as Wally West's mentor. As one of the oldest members of the Flash family, Mercury is a historic DC figure. Seeing another important Flash family member come into the loop can make for some great adventures and entertaining scenes, similar to those moments Barry shares with Jay Garrick or Jesse Quick.

As an experienced Calvary Scout, Max Mercury can prove to be a great help for Team Flash and his costume is one of a kind, something we've never seen from a speedster on the show.

Do Without: Killer Frost

Killer Frost in her suit on The Flash

It's time for Caitlin Snow to make a permanent change back. Killer Frost is a poorly written character who stems very far from her comic book origin. The issue is not that she's an antihero, but that she is an overly rude, basically useless one. The only exceptions are whenever she is fighting another character.

Caitlin plays a much more important role as Team Flash's doctor and has saved members of the team on several occasions. Unlike Killer Frost, Caitlin can work in stressful conditions and not lose her mind. Maybe not get rid of Killer Frost permanently but definitely give her less screen time.

Love: Impulse/Bart Allen

The grandson of Barry Allen, Bart is just another time-traveling family member that goes back to see his grandpa in his prime. As an Allen, he has a connection to the speed force but unfortunately, it also messes with Bart's growth, causing him to age rapidly.

On The CW, Bart can get help from Star Labs and perhaps even deal with a similar dilemma that provides the necessary drama and action. Along with his comical and childlike demeanor, Bart can prove to be a great addition to Team Flash.

Do Without: Cecile Horton

Cecile Horton smiling at someone in The Flash

Starting off as a strong supporting character, Cecile has lacked character development and her potential has been mostly squandered. With nothing much to add to the team other than her lawyer skills and meta powers, which don't seem to be working as well as they used to, Cecile is just disappointing.

Cecile's character inconsistency also does not help, where sometimes shes funny and quirky but others she's a little ditzy and airheaded. It seems like Team Flash is a little too full for Cecile Horton.

Love:  Johnny Quick

The Flash's Earth-2 counterpart and member of the Crime Syndicate (an evil version of Justice League), Johnny quick is nearly identical to the Flash, just evil. Seeing Barry taking on an evil version of himself is nothing new but seeing him take on Johnny Quick would make for a memorable fight.

As the complete opposite of Barry, Johnny is murderous, sadistic, and even mocks the Flash when they meet in the comics. Add in his costume that is arguably twice as good as the Flash's, it would be cool having Johnny run around the city. Maybe The CW can even bring in the rest of the Syndicate.

Do Without: Julian Albert

Julian Dorn played by Tom Felton CW Flash

Introduced in Season 3 after Barry deals with the repercussions of Flashpoint, the rude and socially awkward Julian Albert despises Barry from the start. Although they eventually become allies as Julian goes to work for Star Labs, his presence wasn't a very happy one as his remarks tended to not sit well with the rest of the team.

Julian offers very little help and has a sarcastic comment for just about every situation, something that can get annoying really quickly. As Savitar was taken care of, one can only hope that Julian made his way back home and is living happily.

Love: Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)

The Green Lantern is a hero who has been teased across the Arrowverse for a long time. Hal being added to the mix should produce some great moments. With CW having no plans to create a Green Lantern show, there wouldn't be much a chance these two meet.

The Flash and Green Lantern have a very similar relationship in the comics as Barry has to Cisco, so it is not too difficult to imagine how this dynamic would work. The superhero duo taking on villains in Central City is something that needs to happen on The Flash.

Do Without: Wally West

Kid Flash returns in his costume

Wally has always been hot-headed and reckless, before and after his powers. Add in the estranged relationship with Barry, Wally is just whiny and resentful, even all these years later. Wally takes a very "shoot first, ask questions later approach" to situations, often letting his arrogance get the better of him.

This has proven to be rather costly, as Wally ended up injured or near death due to his fast-paced lifestyle. He doesn't have the same skills as the Wally West in the comics and just proves to be more of a handful than anything else. Even though he's a crucial part of the Flash mythos, its time for Wally to get written off.
